Yet hell, what could I know? Apparently in my presented violence and 'insanity,' I am 'worse than ISIS'....:

War is cool. Solves all....

'Why choose randomly?

  • al Qaeda was in Afghanistan so that found a justification for destroying the state of Iraq.
  • Sunni/Wahhabi ISIS was founded in the broken states of Syria and Iraq, and controlled by marginalised and disgruntled Iraqi Sunnis, so a resolve must be to devastate Iran!
One shouldn't hope to make the stupidity of this crap up.

Nebors logic is hard to fathom as he seems to think the correct response to an attack from ISIS is to attack Iran. That's kind of like us responding to the Boston Bombing by attacking Cuba.

Basically we have hate and hate knows no boundaries...

Terrorism/extremism doesn't come from nothing. It's NOT because they immigrate here. It's because of our presence in the M.E., not "Muslim communities that grow" in our nations. (Our presence in the M/E due to our dependency on their oil...etc..etc...) see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
We can't change the past. Theorizing about the "why's" is basically a waste of time. The future is all we have.

So, what now? Despite the thoughts of some people with paranoid delusions, nobody thinks that all Muslims are bad people out to kill infidels through Jihad. But the problem is how to fight the bad actors. How to control and curtail their activities. Obama (this is not about Obama, so everybody just cool your jets) went on the apology tour. What else is he supposed to do along those lines?

The nature of modern day Islam is one of peace. The nature of the Islamist's that are a throwback to umpteen centuries ago is one of violent revolution in the name of their God.

How do civilized people deal with that faction without the help of the huge number of peaceful Muslims that by the nature of their religious beliefs will not participate with the violence that is required to deal with the radicals? And let's not fool ourselves, they are not going to listen to any form of logic. There is no soothing the savage beast. They live by the sword. They will have to die by the sword. There is no middle ground, no reconciliation, no common ground. Holding out hope that these savages can be brought to their senses will, and is, just resulting in more death and destruction.

The voices of those that hold out not just hope for a peaceful solution but demand it and loudly, must be ignored. That's step number one.

Step number two is a coalition of nations with the same goal. The eradication of Islamic extremists. Mission nearly impossible.

Should that ever come to fruition, the coalition, the problem will be telling the good from the bad. Taqiyya is going to make it that much more difficult. There will be innocents slaughtered just as innocents are being slaughtered now. We need to get our heads wrapped around that. Some good Muslims will die along with the bad. There is no getting around it.

Do we want terrorism to drive our nation, our economy? The nations of the world? To what end? Do the majority win in that scenario? There is only one path. We are divided into tribes of savages that have learned to control their savagery to a great degree and tribes that have not and cannot because they believe their God tells them that they are doing his bidding.

Which of the two evils should prevail? That decision must be made and the resolve to take the steps necessary must be made. Then, actions must put that resolve in motion.

This is a World War. Do not fool yourself thinking otherwise. The sooner we recognize that the sooner we put it behind us. It's not going to end on its own while we sit on the couch and watch on cable news the blood run in the streets of nations far away.

Number of Islamic terrorist attacks world wide from 1990-1999: 27
Number of Islamic terrorists attacks from 1/1/15 to 6/26/15: 47

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Islamist_terrorist_attacks

More Islamic terror attacks in the first 6 months of this year than in the entire decade of the 90's.

We know the problem, ISIS has occupied a large swath of territory in Syria and Iraq. They have a place to recruit and to train. They have oil to sell and outside support. The Western countries have been waffling about how to fight ISIS, while ISIS are using radicalized people on the inside to war against us. There is no easy solution. It's time for the Syrian rebels who aren't with ISIS and the Assad regime to stop fighting. Russia, Iran and the west must realized the longer the war in Syria drag on, ISIS will remain a danger to everybody else. The hard answer is that the Sunnis and the Shiites must have their own place and their own government, since they are more willing to kill each other than to live together, endless conflicts, create more radicalized fanatics.

Goddamnit. What kind of cookies are on my system after clicking that link.

My fault. Should have known.

If you're too damned stupid to not secure your computer, it's your own fault. Dumbass. Let me guess, you partake of sexual tourism in South Africa without condoms, right? :\

I mentioned it a day or so ago, I used to live in Berlin where entire districts are "VERY Muslim". Turkish grocers, Kebab bars, stores, jewelers, internet cafes etc.. WHERE-EVER YOU LOOK. Germany for example has a large Muslim populace SINCE THE 70s.

Don't you think that 45 years was enough time to "grow and take root"? So why is it that this "threat" is only recently? Why hasn't anything substantial happened in almost 45 years where Muslims are in Germany?

Terrorism/extremism doesn't come from nothing. It's NOT because they immigrate here. It's because of our presence in the M.E., not "Muslim communities that grow" in our nations. (Our presence in the M/E due to our dependency on their oil...etc..etc...) see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I lived in areas like you. What you are describing is a massive integrational-epic-fail. Here is how it goes; we allow these ghettos to manifest, ancient culture gains root, next you will have youth that is buttfcked in the head trying to balance this "free world" with the concepts of right and wrong learned at home(mind you that the girls here is doing 100x better than their male counterparts), some of these 'confused' individuals will get adopted by a certian imam, next step is a 'holiday' to the home-country of holy war, final step is blowing himself up at a movie theater next to yourself. Dont think for a second that this 'integration failure' has nothing to do with what is happening. right. now.

Indeed, there is no easy solution. My own view is that there is one upside to ISIS: probably a quarter of the wolrd's population of violent Jihadists - the most radical among them - are now all in one place and they continue to stream in. A massive ground offensive, the purpose of which is to eliminate them, can only improve world security in the long run. It won't help in the short run and there would certainly be western military casualties as well as civilian casualties, but there isn't any other solution when you're dealing with people like this but to kill them. If the Syrians, Iraqis and Kurds had the capability to do it themselves, or with just air support from the west, that would be ideal. Unfortunately, it seems they do not.

First off, let me say that the idea that the terrorists "are refugees" is the most idiotic thing, entirely made-up, without any base and simply FALSE and nothing but a far-fetched assumption to justify hate against refugees/immigrants.

The irony: I have seen an article not long ago where the current influx of immigrants into Germany was actually seen as something positive. (I AM NOT SAYING THAT CULTURAL PROBLEMS ETC. DON'T EXIST)

The reasoning there was a) that the populace of Germany, as opposed to the UK etc. is actually shrinking and getting older. A number of more younger, working people, be they Muslims or whatever can have benefits for the German economy.

Secondly, Germany does a lot to provide Immigrants education. I don't know the numbers of how many immigrants come in which spend their rest of their lives living off welfare.

But I know that numerous (many?) refugees are taking up school in Germany, learning the language, get jobs and in-fact become valuable members of the society.

I reject a generalization of immigrants as "extremists", there is no valid base to do so. This idea is just beyond idiotic.

Are they learning separation of religion from state, equal rights for women, gays have a right to exist and marry, freedom of speech including criticism of religion does not equal blasphemy that requires violence, women can wear what they want, date who they want, and marry who they want, becoming an atheist does not mean an automatic death sentence, it's not permissible to beat your wife or honor kill your daughter because they offended you.

These are the things one needs to look at to see if immigrants are compatible with western society, not just "taking up school in Germany, learning the language, get jobs and in-fact become valuable members of the society."

Because no matter how educated or productive they may appear to be if they reject those tenets of western society listed above they will never be able to integrate and eventually will be in conflict with western ideals and beliefs.

Ahhh, and the expected AnandTech member avocation for the exterminating genocide of all Muslims is once again publicised.

The criminally inexcusable and terrorising acts of a minute few yet again give resident internet tough guys the resolve to support the commission of the greatest crimes of all....all out of xenophobic hatred for the targeted people/group.

I was offended until I realized that you assumed and added "[Muslims]" to his post and acted offended when he was almost certainly talking about murderous extremists. Good job.

You expect rationality from most of the denizens of this place when it comes to Islam/Muslims? I admire your optimism.

Still working to defend radical Islam I see.

Or are you just like Obama going to continue to deny the link between Islam and terrorism?

According to CNN, the only attacker positively identified so far was a radicalized French national.
Yeah, that's the problem with today's world of 24 hour news and social media. For the next few days we're going to hear a lot more misinformation than accurate information.

Yep, they pulled the original article and replaced/updated it at the same URL
Athens (AFP) - Greek police on Saturday said at least one man with a possible connection to the Paris attacks had registered as a refugee with Greek authorities earlier this year.

French authorities had asked their Greek counterparts to check the fingerprints of one man who died in the attacks, with a Syrian passport found next to him, in addition to the fingerprints of another man.

There were efforts to establish whether both had registered in Greece, the main entry point into Europe for Syrian refugees.

The Greek minister for citizen protection, Nikos Toskas, said one of the men had been registered on the Greek island of Leros in October.

"We confirm that the (Syrian) passport holder came through the Greek island of Leros on October 3 where he was registered under EU rules," he said a statement.

French police said the passport was found "near the body of one of the attackers" during the investigation into the main site of Friday's carnage, at the Bataclan concert hall where 89 people were killed.

The authenticity of the passport was being checked, but its discovery indicates a possible Syrian connection in Friday night's violence, which also saw three suicide blasts outside the Stade de France and gun attacks on restaurants and cafes in Paris.
Greek police are not ruling out that the Syrian passport changed hands before the attacks.

Separately, a Greek police source said they had not yet matched the second person to refugee application records.

This contradicted earlier information from a Greek police source who said the second man had also registered in Greece, with TV station Mega adding this was also on Leros in August.

With over 2/3rds of Muslims in the USA believing that anyone should be killed for blasphemy, and >50% supporting Sharia law as the law of the land (look at Dearborn Michigan), this only shows how out of touch with reality you are. Islam has no place in the modern Western world, full stop.
It sure doesn't. As I stated earlier, a poll after charblie hebdo attacks of french muslims found 27% sympathy to the attack. And why not? They spoke out against the prophet; a muslim who thinks that's okay is a bad muslim, and the koran says it's okay to kill non-believers. Right there in the text. Support among muslims after the july attacks in britain a decade back also showed a very significant level of support.

What is your point with those pictures, norseamd? That fundamentalist Islam is inherently opposed to the ways of the rest of the civilized world?
