Ooh, everyone stop everything, we've got some prohecies to fulfil! There are countries that likely have been practising Sharia law since forever and now they're going to risk fucking up their status quo and team up with ISIS because...? You know, the countries in question have governments, corporations, citizens with jobs, and people who like to accumulate money/material things/power/popularity just like in most countries, and your prediction sees them not only going up against many developed countries with lots of resources at their disposal, but also going up against countries that they do business with.

But out of curiosity, I'll accept your premise for a moment to see where your logic goes. How do you propose convincing countries to stop Sharia law? Does one possibility involve military force? Do you just want to stop sharia law or do you have a laundry list of other facets of their cultures that you would like to eradicate? Have you considered that you aren't just advocating going up against ISIS, you're advocating trying to change the way that millions of people live their lives and telling them that basically they're immoral beings. So while ISIS currently consists of what, 30k people, you're talking about essentially going to war with hundreds of millions of people who now have a serious beef with you when they didn't before your little crusade. When there was little reason for them to join ISIS's jihad before, there bloody well is after attempting your idea.

I have a feeling here that you're not so much asking me a question but telling me your answer to a question that I didn't ask. Cool story bro.
When I say sharia law, I am saying in general we should be concerned about countries that are majority muslim because from a numbers standpoint more radicalization is going to occur. Not sure of an immediate solution, but we need to be paying attention unlike your philosophy of letting them be.

Also, ISIS doesn't consist of only 30K people but over 200K. And oh btw they are making $1.2bil off oil alone, so they not only have the numbers but the money to arm them rather well.

The Islamic State (Isis) has recruited an army hundreds of thousands strong, far larger than previous estimates by the CIA, according to a senior Kurdish leader. He said the ability of Isis to attack on many widely separated fronts in Iraq and Syria at the same time shows that the number of militant fighters is at least 200,000, seven or eight times bigger than foreign in intelligence estimates of up to 31,500 men.

Fuad Hussein, the chief of staff of the Kurdish President Massoud Barzani said in an exclusive interview with The Independent on Sunday that "I am talking about hundreds of thousands of fighters because they are able to mobilise Arab young men in the territory they have taken."

He estimates that Isis rules a third of Iraq and a third of Syria with a population of between 10 and 12 million living in an area of 250,000 square kilometres, the same size as Great Britain. This gives the jihadis a large pool of potential recruits.

I'm not saying attack countries with sharia law, yes that would be dumb. Change needs to come from within for them, and that means altering some of the Koran/Hadith to reword or remove violent passages. Or add a new book that invalidates some of the older commands, like the Bible did with the New Covenant/Jesus.

Ok, so sharia law had absolutely nothing to do with your overall point. Odd.

So, we should pay attention to the status quo in such countries and let change come from within. I'm trying to figure out how your opinion differs from my own on this point because you've been acting like you fundamentally disagree with me so far.

The only thing that I would add is that I think the US and UK should be trying to make amends for our part in screwing up the Middle East.

While some in Canada and the U.S. are 'shakin' in their shorts', how are Belgians holding up under the present terror alert?

"When, on Sunday evening, Belgian police asked citizens not to tweet about the armed operations that were being carried out around the country, anyone could have been excused for reacting with fear.

Belgian forces – searching for suspects in the aftermath of the Paris attacks – told citizens to stay indoors and not go near their windows for safety reasons.

They also appealed for social media silence about any police action users might witness – presumably to keep the suspects in the dark.

A tense time, no doubt. But Belgium reacted – how else? – with cats.

Instead of speculation about the sort of threat police might be reacting to, many people used the #BrusselsLockdown hashtag to post pictures of their pets."

And the biggest most important amend is stop supporting the Saudi family and other oil shieks by pushing for alternative energy, since they use that oil money to fund the clerics and madrasas by the millions.
