The test footage seemed to be the video we heard about back in 2012, when the director (Tim Miller) had purportedly animated 8 minutes of test footage (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) at his company, Blur Studio.

While it is pretty old not everyone has seen it and i'm excited for it if they are going to continue working on it to the point of actual release (fingers crossed). It looks really good and I believe it's because it was written/directed by the same two guys that wrote the real Deapool comics. The footage seems to follow the habits of deapool perfectly.

Deadpool was the character, Weapon X (remember Wade?), that they were giving all the super powers to. He's the one who was decapitated, leaving his falling head shooting laser beam eyes around in circles to destroy the cement cooling tower right before Wolverine got shot with adamantium bullets.

Hulk can be killed when he is human, superman has kryptonite which is exactly what I am talking about, Thor I assume can be killed by something as simple as a dagger, it is logical to assume another adamantium bullet could kill wolverine depending on where he was hit.

So back to my question....

The closest thing he has to a weakness is his thoughts. He's all ID no ego. He can't think past the moment, and besides the healing factor he really doesn't have any other power. He can't lift cars nor fly he just shoots things. Some writers have taken his insanity (though I still don't think it's insanity) to allow them to make jokes involving the forth wall, but he can't step outside of Marvel's universal laws.. I should say mostly because it is a comic and some writers do stupid things thinking they're being funny.

If I remember correctly, he was granted his powers through the Weapon X program just like Wolverine, and consequently, he's nearly indestructible just like Wolverine. However, you can still beat the crap out of him... he'll just eventually heal up.

I saw this movie, once.

I don't remember any of this. ....I think this could be one of the reasons it is hated.
