Aurora AS1512X Steel/Chrome cross cut shredder.
Does credit cards, CDROMS, 15 sheets of paper at a time.

$279.99 At staples.com
$239.99 at outpost.com (only available for preorder).

Through monday at costco: $150 after $20 rebate and $30 coupon.

Note: You need a coupon that you should have got in the mail, BUT if you ask nicely the casheers normaly have extra's.

If not, costco online has will automaticaly give you the $30 coupon when you order.

My POS Epson 5 sheet cross cut died so I had to get something.

THis thing does 15 pages at a time. Actually took and counted out 15 sheets and it swallowed it easily.

I was always overfeeding overheating and jamming my old shredder. So far I've done a bin full worth of junk mail and financial stuff and it went like a dream.

The built in CDROM and Creditcard shredder a great feature plus....

This thing is beautiful! The chrome/black pefectly matches the chrome garbage can I got at bed bath and beyond.

Notice the instructions say don't use oil. What's up with that?

Why doesn't anyone like this deal?. This shredder is awesome.

My last CDROM shredder thread generated something like 50 responses.

That one just put dots on the CD. This one actually physicaly shreds the CDROM.

I would love to jump on the deal. I just don't have $150 to put towards such a nice shredder. However, I did buy a 5 sheet, cross-cut shredder from Target that was complete junk for $29.99. Actually, the shredder I purchased, had been used and returned - so, that may have played a part in its weakness. Clearly, I need a "Tim the Toolman" type of shredder - and this sounds like the one. Let me go check the couch and chairs for change.

This does sound good. If I didn't already have a 12 page shredder, I'd jump on it. I Paid $120 for mine, but it doesn't do CDs, so I'd love this one just for that reason. How big is the bin?

Don't take it so personally! Maybe everyone has rushed out to buy the shredder instead of responding to your post . . .

Why would you shred junk mail?

I always shred up things like credit card applications.

Maybe I'm paranoid but it's just something we have always done.

Plus shredded junkmail makes great packing material!

1YellowPeril you crack me up! I didn't take it personaly but coupons expring soon, stacked with a rebate, over 40 percent cheaper than anywhere else, all the drama of a great deal.

Oh I forgot, it's just a shredder. Lol. One's man deal is anothers who the hell cares.....

The problem with shredding up CCs and CDroms is that you have to take time to physically separate the shreddings from the rest of the paper shreddings if you want to recycle.

I, too, was tempted by this shredder, but $150 is too much for me. I bought a refurb Fellowes 12 sheet shredder off their web site for $59 + 10% coupon (it does NOT do credit cards or CD's--I can cut them up my self).

Shipping was only $5-something, so the coupon covered it. It's a discontinued model, but it works pretty well. It may be a decent alternative for those not willing to go $150 on a shredder. Now I can ditch my crappy 5-sheeter and destroy some junk mail...muhahahaha.

I too was tempted by the PS70 on fellowes Refurb site.

Got used to having a cross cut shredder The PS70's 7/32" strips just does not seem too secure. If I'm gonna take the time to do it, I might as well do it right.
