Deal still good in Campbell, CA!!

Just got back from Campbell store, still in stock and still $8.49 in their computer! The spindles are not out on an end cap or stand-alone display, they're in the regular shelf spot, sorta mixed in with the colored discs. Be careful, there were also some 30 pk spindles mixed in (and also marked $19.99), but if you dig through the stock on the shelf you should still be able to find quite a few of the regular 50 pks.

just came back from the Fry's in Sac. Didn't see a damn thing. Did see a few hundred of the $24.99 ones. Same as last night. I looked all over and couldn't find a single $8.49 spindle. I may be blind but i think they're all out. Sucks.

i picked up 8 in manhattan beach about 6:30 wednesday evening. they had the shelf full and a whole stack of cases at the beginning of the cd-r aisle. they were still $8.49 last night.

mrchan - i went there last night and today and didn't see any. i guess i should have asked. if you go, let me know where in the store they're at. The place on the shelves where the tag is 8.49 is stock full of the $24.99 ones. Those aren't the ones on sale. But if you have any luck, let me know so i can drive back there and find em . Okay, just got back from fry's in fountain valley. There were a BUNCH of them left, problem is, they rang up to the normal $19.99. So i'd say the deal is dead.

went there, saw the 8.49 tag, accidentally grabed 4 of the multi colored spindles and went to pay. rang up as 24.99, when i told the cashier they were marked as 8.49 he went with me to check and just gave them to me for that price. so i guess i got lucky.... there should be some somewhere tho, when i called the rep on the phone said they had plenty left.

just picked up 2 tonight at the palo alto store. they had a bunch left. went to pay and asked her to check the price and it came up 8.49. this was about 6:30. they're the silver/blues but the bottoms are really more greenish with a tint of blue like the TDKs at costco only a bit darker. these were made in japan with the spin top locking spindle.

I also just got back from the palo alto frys. I went to the shelves and there were only a couple left, mixed up with the colored ones. I brought one of them to a salesman and asked him to scan it and when it came up only $8.49, he seemed really surprised. I asked him how many per customer, and he quickly blurted out "Only 1!". I just thanked him, walked away, picked up 3 more from the shelves and bought them all. "Only 1" my ass!


I then went back to that frys right before they closed because I forgot to pick up a few things. I thought I would also pick up another spool of cdr's if there were any left. It looked just like it was when I was there a few hours ago-I guess since they weren't advertised, no one was buying them (except us ATers ) Anyways, I was wandering around the vid cards when I turned around and I saw 2 HUGE PALETTES of these same cdrs. They were mixed in with the multi-colored ones, but there were still plenty of the $8.49 ones. I don't know how long the price on these cdrs is gonna last, but if you want them, GO TO PALO ALTO Frys! (and don't believe any salesman who says "only 1")

Got my 32X burner last night and did some burns. The Fuji's will work at 32X, did an overburn at 80:09 and it worked fine. These are some damn good CD's, maybe I'll pick up some more.

Still available in Sunnyvale Fry's. Price is marked as $8.49 and only one big bundle left. I grabbed another one tonight with one GQ 32X bundle at the price of $7. I am sure that it won't last through tomorrow though!

I have checked the difference between the $8.49 and color ones: color ones have a life-long waranty and colorful cover. That's it!

these are all i've used for the past year, doing audio and *backup* dreamcast stuff. great for overburning, i think the speed is only up to 16x though. havent tried it more than that.
