They better not have charged my card already for something that's backordered and is looking to be backordered for a good while. Companies have been sued for less, and that is one of the fundamental rules of online shopping - don't pay for something you don't have and put the charge in dispute until the company finally coughs up the goods.

4600 gpu/memory is 300/650 and the 4400 is 275/550. The 4600 is suppose to use 2.8 ram and the 4400 has 3.8 ram so it may be hard to o/c the 4400 to 4600 speeds.

I ordered mine the 22nd and my email response was that it would be shipped the 27th (which it was not)
On the hardforums some people were reporting that their cards were already shipped, and they had mentioned ordering well after the 22nd which makes me quite angry. If this is the case I might never order from Gateway again, they need to get their priorities straight and ship to the customers that placed their orders first.

Yeah, I ordered mine on the 21st and it's still showing backordered, they haven't charged my card though. Some people are saying that some will ship this Wednesday, others mid-March.

The 4400 uses at least 3.6 ns ram. if you divide 100 by the NS rating, you get the rated speed.
1000/3.8 gives about a 263mhz rated speed.
1000/3.6 gives about a 277mhz rated speed.

Im hoping that visintek will be nice and included some 3.3ns ram =)

You guys need to just chill... they won't be getting cards in for at least another week... if you ordered after the initial rush on these cards (as I did) then you might well be waiting until the end of the month...

calling up the CSR's and beating them up that your cool new vid card hasn't shipped isn't going to get it into your hands any faster.

If you didn't want to wait you should have spent the extra $50 (plus tax) and put a deposit to have Best Buy hold one for you.

after getting disconnected from the gateway accessory store 3 times I finally got to talk to someone for more than a minute. I was told ALL the Ti4600 cards will go out in one shipment on March 13th. I asked for faster shipping and they upgraded me to 2day shipping free of cost, but I still don't think thats fast enough to get it to me by friday the 15th. I was also told that no ones cards have shipped yet, and they are going to ship cards according to when your order was placed. This really pisses me off I might go buy a Ti4600 from Best Buy and return it when my gateway one arrives. I'm quite dissapointed in Gateway not giving us ANY information unless we call in, a simple email wouldn't have been that hard to whip together.

Please give this a rest, when you ordered the card is was not in stock, what did you think was going to happen? I ordered mine on the 28th and I'll fully intended on having to wait. Don't slam gateway for not having it in stock. And for $340 shipped that's a pretty good deal. Next thing you know, people are going to want a free gift card for having to wait for something that was such a hot item that Visiontek had to leave out a cable so they could get the cards out.

I ordered a ti4400 on the 24th. Now it says it's backordered....YEEE HAWWW. My credit card bill is through the roof this month so the longer it's backordered the better off I'll be. I've never not paid credit card bill 100% full every month and don't want to break my lifetime streak now.

edit: they did a week ago say expected shipping date for me was 3/5 (today) but what the hell.

Would you like some cheese with your whine? There's a bunch of people like you at the tail end of all of these deals- I think necx has better things to do than to tailor their schedule around your (most likely) at cost video card order. You'll get it when you get it.
