Called up OM.com and asked if they would give me the memory card if I ordered on-line with coupon. Nice lady said just order on-line and then call back for a price adjustment. Sounded OK until I went to order and couldn't find the 128 MB memory card on the site. 32 and 64 MB are available but no 128. Bummer :disgust:

Maybe I'll try to go into the local store. It's a big pain being cheap

Went by the local B&M store, OOS and none on order guess. Sounds like time to order online. Does anyone have an online link for the 128mb free card. The local flyer here only lists a 64mb card.

From previous posts, people got both by ordering:
(1) online for the camera and then call to match the B&M free CF card, or
(2) via 800-number and tell csr about B&M offer

128CF is not online, but they have them if you call.

I ordered the camera from officemax.com Friday. I called customer service and she said she could not give me a free 128 memory card, but she told me I might be able to use the coupon at a store. Called local office max next, talked to manager. She said she would honor the coupon. I went to the store after work, I talked with that manager and another one. They told me the cam + memory counted as a discount/special and could not be stacked with the coupon, but I could use the coupon to buy any regularly priced item. They said they had plenty in stock if I changed my mind. My camera from om.com came today in the mail, I haven't opened but now I need to figure out what to do. I heard I'd lose the $50 discount if I returned my order and tried to reorder online and request the memory card, in addition to concerns about the cam/memory being in stock. Haven't tried price matching but it sounds like an idea, though I don't think I'll be able to get the free memory. If it comes down to that is it a better deal to pay $250+tax for the cam alone or 300+tax for the bundle, keeping in mind that I will need to buy some sort of memory card eventually?

I grabbed my ad from yesterdays paper, and it shows the a40 packaged with a 64MB CF card (sku1426-7633). Did anyone else have this experience. A scan of the ad showing 128MB would be greatly appreciated!

Ordered the Camera on Thursday and should receive it today. Just talked to an OM CSR....said that the 128MB Lexar Card is OOS so there is no way to add it into the order! Asked to pick it up from local store and was told it was sold out in ALL the stores around Portland, Oregon. What a pain in the Butt! Oh, well maybe I will try another CSR later

Well since people here seem to be having success, I'm thinking about sending an email and requesting that they do the same for me for the sake of consistency. For those of you who did have success with this deal, please leave some specific details (store location, manager/csr names, etc), because I may want to use this thread as evidence (any other threads mentioning the deal would be helpful too).

It looks like the 64 MB Compact Flash vs 128 MB Compact Flash varies from state to state.
You can look at the ads on the OM site and click on the various states.
Unfortunately its the 64 MB here in OKC.

Actually, it varies by CITY. Here in Kansas, Topeka has 64MB, while 8 other cities in Kansas all have the 128MB. :|


UPDATE!!

After 29 mintues on the phone, they finally found it and added the 128MB card to my order. Yay!!!!

Call in and don't settle for 64MB!

128mb CF is being offered here in Wisconsin. Although when you search the online store for the part number in the weekly, it says it is available in retail stores only, however, when I called them and had my order adjusted (to get the free card), they used the same sku that was in the local weekly (20173152)

woohoo ordered the Canon A40 Friday but it didn't go thru because I entered the wrong infos. Called back today with the correct infos and they added the the 128MB CF card to my ordered. Should get my camera by tomorrow.Thanks for the sweet deals. and one more thing CSR forgot to add taxes to my order so it was $250

Ok, what am I missing here? When I look through the ads, the only offer I see for a free CF card is with the purchase of a Panasonic camera? It's right under the "Digital Imaging" header. To see what I'm talking about, go to IL, Chicago, and look at second row, second column's page.

obviously they have a couple of flyers cuz the CSR ask me which flyer am I looking at? Does it a lady or man on the front page and I told him it's the one with the MaxBrite Buy 2 Get 1 Free on the front page and just tell him to look at the second page and he found it.

csf, please use your dispcretion to mention this thread or any other.... It will just make it more difficult for everyone to apply coupons. Right now they might be easy on letting you apply online coupons for BM purchases...

believe me, it will be trouble for all ! Try to tell them of your 'friends' who got it... rather than trying to mention threads, store locations... manager names...

I don't even see the A40 anywhere...which ad is it on? I only see Panasonic, Kodak, and Sony
