Deal Dead: No more Free Card after Saturday. Canon Powershot A40 + 128MB Lexar CF card for $250 plus tax

I bought the camera today (Sunday) and the manager agreed to give me the 128mb CF card as well as $50 off. However, I could not persuade her to apply the tax holiday discount (digital cameras did not fall under 'peripherals' according to the NC government, and even if they did I would have to buy a computer to justify the camera as tax-free.) Oh well, I spent about $17 more than I thought I would!

WOW, WOW and WOW!!! People, if you don't try to PM the price of $239.99 of the store mentioned above, you are wasting $60!!! I just got approved for the pricematch and getting an additional $60 off the price! So I'll get the camera and the 128MB CF card for $190. Had I known this, I'd buy some more!

The CF card offer is over, and the coupon might be expired as well. You might be able to find another one. You can at least still pricematch to the previously mentioned site for $240.

Well, the $50 off $250 expires today (Monday August 5th) I believe. You may be out of luck for online pricematching (as I was since I didn't know about this deal until yesterday--1 week vacation at the beach means no Hot Deals forums!) However, when I walked in to the store yesterday I talked to the manager and she allowed me to get the 128MB card free (rung up as a $0.00 cost item.) Even though the deal officially expired Saturday, she let me do it. YMMV.

This deal just keep getting better. Just got my confirmation back on the price match and will credit my cc for 60.00. That makes the Camera and 128mb card for 190.00 + tax, not too bad. Now I just need to find another good deal (like free) for another card and battery charger. I want at least two cards and still need a charger.

I just got my 128Mb Sandisk card for my Powershot purchase. Ithink they ran out of the lexar128M card and hence send me the Sandisk one. Thanks everyone about this wonderful camera(I am taking my snaps to put on online personals;-) and this 128Mb offer which I missed initailly!

I've never tried a Pricematch before. Is it possible to do one after you've already ordered? I just received my camera today. Is this one of those things you have 30 days to Pricematch or is it too late already?

Mine came today, but it's making this odd clicking noise when it tries to focus. Sounds to me like the motor drive for the lens may be screwed...or maybe I'm just paranoid- can anyone tell me if theirs makes a clicking sound?

Oh believe me, I'm familiar with the Canon AF clicks, but this is more of a "clack" that is totally out of place and weird sounding. I may try and hit OD to exchange it just in case. I do think it's defective though...good thing they do the B&M/ WEB store as one for return purposes...

Ordered on August 1st. Still waiting for delivery. Expected ship date was yesterday, and it hasn't ship yet. Called CSR and the 128MB CF card is backordered and won't be available till next week. The camera is in PIP for a day and has not changed yet. CSR said someone will call me about delivery, maybe its backordered again.

How long would it take to receive a price-match credit?

I got a price-match confirmation on 8/10 for $35, not great but enough to get some batteries, charger, and case.
BTW, my camera doesn't click or clack.

LOL that might just be the 'fake' shutter sound effect playing! Try turning sounds off and then see if it still does it???
