To everyone who sees the drive for 85$ in Houston, which store are you using? I used the click n pull feature at sams website and the only Houston store I found that carries the 60gb is Houston store #1 #8244 on Fuqua St, and it is listed as $139.98 there. Thanks for any help on this.

Seems like Sams will not PM their own stores. I just got back from my local Sams and they said no. I had a printout of one store that had the $84 price. The manager said he couldn't even PM another Sams in the same city.

I was trying to get some cash back after buying it at $112 last week.

Hello. 2nd post on these forums, although I've been lurking for a while. /wave

I wanted to let everyone know that you CAN PriceMatch this product to staples and take advantage of coupons! I just ordered 3 @ 84.91 each with a $40 off $200. I'm sure that most people know the whole procedure, but in case you don't (I wrote this up for a friend, so it is step-by-step. Coupons removed and link added.)

Also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone on this board who has helped out w/ great deals.

Call up Staples.com at 800-378-2753.

Tell them you want item #:IM1073227

Once they look it up and find it, tell them that you want to Pricematch the item.

When they ask where, tell them "Sam's" or "Sam's Club"

They may try to look it up on the website, but tell them that you have a phone number for a regular store. You will need to find a Sam's Club that has the drives in stock.

The Sam's Club item # is: 282410 and the cost is $84.91. They will then put you on hold and call up Sam's Club to verify the price. The store I called had two drives in stock, but I ordered 3 from staples and it was not a problem. However, the store will have to have at least one drive in stock for Staples to PM this drive.

After that, the rep will come back and start to total up your order. Tell them you have a coupon to use. Some coupons are:

Call in works! Make sure they have them at the Sam's club in your state, I choose one that was 75 miles a way and they had no problem PMing it.

I used -40$ off also with no prob. I already sold 2 drives to co-workers for 100 each, making my 60GB drive only 33 bucks.

ONE PROBLEM THOUGH, they would not give me next day delivery, they guaranteed it for 7 days. Worth the 40 bucks to me!

I called Staples the first time and the rep said the Sam's Club had to be within 5 miles of me.

I called back and a different rep said of their 3 warehouses, the only warehouse that had this in stock was in Tennessee and therefore they cannot place an order to be shipped to California. What's up with that?

After going to my local SC and coming up empty handed, I called the 888 number on the website to PM. No go, but he told me the inventory of the other stores in my area and that they were all at $84.91. I went to the next closest store only to find out that they are the only store in the Twin Cities that still had these drives at $149.99. After pleading my case with the manager, he finally decided to let me have it at the clearance price.

This is what I did:

1.) Go to click'n Pull and find a sam's anywhere in the nation that sells the disks for $84.
2.) Add the disk to your cart
3.) Click on change location
4.) select the store near you that has it in stock
5.) Check out - price at $84

However, I tried to get more than the 3 I ordered for friends, and they would only sell me the ordered 3 for the sale price.

I already went to Best Buy and asked for the PM. It wont happen, and I knew that ahead of time, but I figured it was worth the shot. I took a copy of my Sam's receipt in there, and they said no.

And you have to fight tooth and nail with the mgrs at sam's so they match their own stores....
