Sorry. Not fast enough for me. Can't handle this 15,000 RPM Ultra160 drive I have. And plus..it's ATA-100..it's still slow as hell. Maybe if it was like 15,000 RPM ATA-133, then I would get it. I would say that the only good thing about this drive is the 120GB and the 8MB cache. That's about it....and yeah..the price.

I believe that this drive is actually on the heels on some 15K SCSI drives and beats some 10K units out there. At least that's what I remember from some of the benches on SR.

Uh..the 15,000RPM hd is only $208. NOT a thousand dollars. And plus..7200 RPM vs. 15,000RPM? No comparison. Now if they made this HD at 15,000RPM, then I would shut up. But they don't.

Consider a very important aspect of drives... Platter density. Most SCSI drives out there, even 15K ones are using a lot smaller platters compared to some of the higher capacity IDE units.
