I received " Dell Order Acknowledgement " on this order on Monday, but nothing else.

******************************************************************************************
This is not your final confirmation. Within the next 24 hours, you will receive an Order Confirmation e-mail with your:
******************************************************************************************

Nothing shows in my account about this order.

Anyone else having this problem?

If they cancel this order it will be the second time they have done it to me. Starting to look like Dell does not live
up to there offers..

The level of rudeness on this board is surprising. Why some people can't keep their rude comments to themselves baffles me.:disgust:

Mine shipped Friday.... I should have it soon!

What would the ChubbyWallet forums do without these rude people and thread-crappers here? Nothing to rip AT for... :disgust:

Someone mentioned previously that its not cool to buy this stuff at a hot deal, then turn around and ebay it.

Why?

What is so wrong with this. It's the supply trickles down in the market, with each middle man getting some cut.

As long as the buyer feels they are getting a good deal... Which they are... then its all that matters.

The reason that this is looked down upon is because instead of some fleebayer who bids at the last second (despise those), another AT member would have had the product that he/she needs for themselves at the discount.

Dell has never had any delay in screwing me either.

I was upset at missing out on this deal, but I take some consolation in that I don't have to explain another Hot Deal purchase to the wife.

get this.. dell wants my "consent" to continue the order for my WD or otherwise they are "required by law" to cancel my order. now ive can say ive seen it all!!! looks like theyre desperately trying to cancel some of these orders. worse part is that you cant just email them.. you have to call up and wait on hold. im on hold with them as i type.

We have reviewed your order # xxxxxxxx, and although we had anticipated
being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected
delay and we will not be able to ship your order until 5/13/02. We need
your consent to continue your order. Please be aware that unless we receive
your consent by 05/01/02, we are required by law to cancel your order and
provide you with a prompt refund.

We are making every effort to contact you for your consent to continue your
order. If we are unable to reach you, you can reach us at 1-800-847-4098
x66966. Once we have received your consent, we will move forward on
shipping your Dell order.

You are a valuable customer, and we are aware of the inconvenience and
apologize for the delay.

Thank you,

EDIT: Well, for some reason I cant turn off the italics so everything below here is mine:

Well, this then begs the question of why I, or any other person on this board, should care who the ultimate purchaser of the product is. Your response is loaded up with some slanted language though, like "need" and "at the last second", by which you are referring to snipers. Are we supposed to have some positive psychic benefits from knowing that fellow ATers' are getting in on these deals? That's a hard thing to ask a man, that she should take money out of his pocket to make some stranger better off.

There will always be some clown who will buy 10 zillion of a hot deal and e-bay it. Personally I don't think it's worth the headaches. PsychoAndy got 10 of those dell p4 deals with the 17" flat screens. I remember him posting how he got screwed by someone doing a buy it now and dissapearing, it cost him like $25.
I had a problem last year just selling some guy my old digital camera. Selling on E-bay is just begging for trouble.

I agree with that. I have to sell stuff from time to time on ebay and find that it is a lot of headaches for little profit. Of course, I have to sell that palm m105 from the dell deal, but what can I do?

Settle down boys and girls... you will get your Hard Drive. Be Patient.

I got mine today.

Remember the Logitech Z560 Deal from Dell for $117? I got in on that a little late and I was put on backorder but I eventually got them.

I ordered 3 drives, 2 in the first order, then 1 more about 15 minutes later right when the price went up. Here is whats wierd. The 2nd order for 1 drive has shipped, but the earlier order was delayed until 5/13/2002. Maybe they are delaying orders of more than 1 drive?? Anyone else notice this?

Mine too!
>>

Did you guys get a tracking number for those that shipped on Friday? I never got a confirmation, just acknowledgement, but I searched for orders under my customer number and it shows that mine shipped on Friday too but I haven't gotten a tracking number yet as of Monday night.

Gonna call them tomorrow morning to see what's up...ordered a couple hours after the deal was posted...maybe I'll get lucky and get it shipped without any delay emails. =)

The drives will arrive sooner or later. It depends on how soon you need it??

I got mine today. I still got another drive coming. It's on its way but Dell did not provide a tracking number for me.

yah i eventually got tracking numbers from dell for both of my orders. However dont be fooled by their "Shipped" date... it seems they are "in transit" to the carrier for awhile. When they carrier finally gets the package they should issue you a tracking number.

I still don't understand how it could take so long just to get to a carrier (should be 1 day tops IMO)

I just checked the order status of all my open orders. My WD 120G HDD was shipped last Friday but no tracking# though. Dell also shipped two of my Canon G2 which was originally scheduled to shipped on 05/29/02. Wow, they shipped my order ONE whole month earlier!

Thank you, Dell!
