I remembe reading on Tom's Hardware that this drive outperforms some SCSI drives and does almost as good as the best SCSI drives...so you basically get the benefits of the speed from the SCSI and the size capability for EIDE...plus EIDE generates MUCH LESS HEAT than the SCSI of course...

also, I thought it wasn't recommended to RAID anything more than 40GB per HD on a raid setup?? something about it becoming very unstable or something?

Ok I friggin give up. I've only been on this board for two months and you guys are killing me. I think Dell is trying to jump start the whole economy all by themselves. I felt so strong because I held out on this drive until it hit $142. I only ordered one and I figured I would buy another when they hit $100, well that looks like next week at this rate! I bought the 120Gb so I could transfer tons of video to my computer and make VCD's and or DVD's. Now I'm starting to think screw making DVD's. How about making one big honkin video server. Total video on demand. I think Dell has taken on the "Scorched Earth" sales strategy.
