I was browsing around for a good deal on the older Macbook and came upon this one. It's a university bookstore but they seem to sell to the public, i placed the order online and skipped the student id info.

They then called for my CC info. The item is now being packed for shipping tonight via UPS ground.

The online store seems to add Tax regardless of your location, but the CS rep said they do take it off in the final order before charging your card.

I believe they have less than 100 of these left. They just ran out of the Pro and the Black Macbook. Ad flyer

The store is closed for the day, they close at 5pm central time... I imagine the 12,000 orders they will get tonight (their online ordering system has only processed ~900 invoices to date) will kill the deal for everyone.

cheapest I could find one is $1,049 at Macmall.com, and there are a few on ebay going for $861.00 and $870.00...

so nice find!

Maybe they are showing tax because this is for UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI STUDENTS ONLY! I'm in for one cuz I go to UMR!

I think the finance program is for UofM students only. I see no where on the site that says they only sell to UofM students. My order went in at 6:06pm we will see what happens. I'm not 100% hopeful just cuz im sure the order log is gonna be a cluster****

wow...i paid 1k for mine back in may...and that was with student discount @_@

mines shipped. They called and asked me if I was a Student. I told them I was a student of a university. They asked how I head about the deal told them a friend and they said ok we will remove the tax and ship it out.
