So.... as I enter buyers remorse... was this a good deal or not?

Luckily I added the thing to my cart before the deal died. I hope they
honor it but a side of me hopes not (i need the $$). But if they do,
I'd like to be sure I got a good deal.

p.s. I tried to add a new hdd (80g from another deal ) to my
current P3 and ran into a heap o' trouble with the bios... hence my

I'm interested in the system, not the monitor.
I had it all ready to order a few hours ago, then changed my mind as I dont want to hassle with ebaying the monitor.
I already have a 21" NEC, and would hate to drop to 17" now.

Thank God! Now I don't have to spend $1300 to save $500 on something I really don't need. It was a good deal though.

If you watch Dell they have these screwups alot. Like a couple weeks ago when they first started the compare us to Gateway computer with 15" LCD. They had the 1.7 Ghz for $999 and if you customized it you would have seen the 1.8Ghz for $200 off for a price of $799. This was late Friday night and by Saturday afternoon it was dead. If I didn't have to get permission, I would have a new computer with 15"LCD right now.

I was wondering if anyone with a fairly new Dell system can do me a favor. I just received a Dell 4400 which I purchased for my gf (I still prefer AMD over Intel for my system). Anyways, I really like the Dell wallpaper that came with the Dell system. Unfortunately, when I switched nics, the system would no longer boot up and so I formatted the hard drive. Now I can't locate the wallpaper on any of the cd's. If someone could please email me the Dell wallpaper to bub009@yahoo.com, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

P.S. I checked Dell's website and I can't find the wallpaper there either.

Intel initially announced early last year that they would drop the Rambus architecture,but this was a marketing ploy aimed at Rambus to to get them to drop prices. Since then, Rambus prices have dropped about 70%. With the recent increases in SDRAM, you can now get Rambus for the same price as its SDRAM equivalent . Intel recently its future plans for the next 24-36 months and almost all the architectures announced are using Rambus

The panel is a Samsung. And it's nice. I haven't looked at the specs but it seems ot have an excellent viewing angle and a great response time. Picture quality is amazing on max res. I've used them a lot and they're well constructed. Definitely a good deal for those who got in, you'll drop the guilt once it arrives. Of course I'm a little biased, I work right next to the FP guys...
