Mine arrived today, but the wife was not home to sign for it, so now I have to wait until Monday when they try a 2nd delivery. Was going to set it up over the weekend and see what it can and can't do.

That's what I thought as well as my order also said shipping on 3/18. I ordered on 3/4, received confirmation of order from Lenovo later the same day, received notification of shipment on 3/6 and UPS attempted delivery today, 3/8.

No one was home to sign for it, so they will attempt re-delivery on Monday 3/11.

So, at least for me, it was shipped very fast as I ordered on 3/4 and it was delivered (or at least attempted to be delivered on 3/8).

Whew, I went again and checked on it, but resisted. It's a great looking little device, it'd be fun to play with. But, having poked around on Win 8 I'm convinced it's best suited for a touchscreen, which my TV is not. Especially w/ any hand-held input devices and a TV.

Give me a 15" touchscreen laptop at this price and I'm in for sure.

Received mine yesterday.

With the Celeron/4GB/500GB config, it's very fast compared against the cost.

W8 WEI 'score' was 4.3 (lowest number being the desktop graphics). IIRC, the rest were 5.2 - 5.3.
Keyboard is reminiscent of the X120e/130e's keys.

Give me a 15" touchscreen laptop at this price and I'm in for sure.

If you want a 15" non-IPS display that will probably have a 1366 x 768 resolution, it still more then likely won't be $250 unless it's a 'Door Buster'. More power to you camping out for that garbage

I think you totally misunderstood. I don't "need" either of the items, and even the price on this Lenovo, regardless of the fun factor, didn't convince me to get one. The touchscreen mentioned though, while being equally useless to me, would have enough of a fun factor that if it were a similar price I probably couldn't hold myself back and would go ahead and jump on it.

If you think I'm contemplating a major decision about something I need but can't quite afford, you have all 3 of those things completely backwards.

The way it came off though was "product X is alright, but if it had feature Y, I would then buy this", when Feature Y has nothing to really do with Product X and would not be in the same price range either.
...but, fair enough.



Regarding the product itself though, ran it for around 3 hours (made an image of the Hard Drive before Windows boot, and made another image after customizations) and it ran as warm as most notebook AC adapters.

I'm regretting missing out on this. I tried again little after midnight last night and of course the code had expired. So today I bought the refurb Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13 hybrid for $637. It was an impluse purchase on another item I didn't need. If I had pulled the trigger and purchased the Q190 yesterday, I would've passed on the Yoga. So by not buying the Q190, I ended up spending almost $400 more on another item.

I received my Q190 yesterday and set it up. I had an issue with the wireless network and had to find another driver to get it working. Once I loaded the new driver I was able to connect but the signal reception seemed poor and websites were loading slow. I went to a direct wired connection and everything was great.

Not used to Win8 yet and at this point I like 7 a lot better. Computer seemed slow booting compared to my desktop with SSD. I love the size of Q and had it in my theater room behind my seat. I could mount this behind my chair to the riser and you would never see it.
The fan is easily heard but its not loud or distracting. For $250 it would be hard to beat.

Well, was going to replace my miniITX system with this as it is a pretty awesome setup but the family uses Windows Media Center to watch recorded TV and in order to add Media Center you need to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $99.99.

I had anticipated a charge of $9.99 as that is the cost of the Media Center add-on, but you must have Pro installed in order to add it.

I forgot that I had purchased one of the $14.99 Pro upgrades when I bought my son his Win 7 laptop with the upgrade option to Win 8. He does not want to use it so in the midst of upgrading to Win 8 Pro now and then will add Media Center and see how she goes. As of now this is a great little computer and much more than just a HTPC.
