The question I have for this thread is Dell reports :Max Resolution: 1920x1200 (WUXGA)
Now I have heard abought gameing problems due with the 2005FPW
Will this 24" LCD have the same gameing problems based on a wide screen format..?
As I'm not running a gameing card @ the moment to refrence max resolutions..so to say for COD on a 6800 ultra...Max I have run is 1600x1200 as I have dual 2001FPs..

Well, not all games support widescreen resolutions natively, so you sometimes have to go in and change a file in the game to get it to do so.

Quite a bit of newer games are supporting it right out of the box (HL2 and WoW) and hopefully others will be patched for it (Doom3 for instance).

Thats the only gaming related problems with these. Other than ghosting which is highly subjective.

I sure hope I actually get mine tomorrow. I paid for overnight and DHL didn't even try to deliver until today, and of course I missed them.

If I live in a non tax state like Oregon, I would have whipped out my CC and bought 10 and sell them on Ebay.
As I live in Cali now, its $933 shipped.

When I was talking to the rep, I asked him, "Can I buy 2 ?".
Hes like, " You can buy 5, 10, 20".

I doubt it will. I've gamed on both a 2001 and 2005 and I never noticed ghosting on either of them. You should be fine for thoe most part, and I mean, if nothing else this thing can probably run 1600x1200 in almost the same size screen as a 2001FP offers, so you could always do something like that.

Oh man this deal is causing me a sick twisting feeling in my gut I suppose I will have to be happy with my 2001FP. Could be worse, I could still be stuck with a CRT. I'm SURE that the 2001FP is better anyway :frown:
