Thanks all, my first 100 posts deal across the 2001 and 2002. The deal is dead and wish every one make good use of their tools and do not let it to just sit there for dust.

This is the RTX-1. Comes with a bunch of accessories (cutting wheels and the like). It does NOT come with a flexi-shaft thing. It is variable speed from ~8k-20k, and 2.0amps. Corded also. I compared the specs to a Dremel, and the dremel seemed to only be 1.4 amps (could be others that are higher, didnt see any) and didnt hit 30k RPM's either.

Overall, for $30 I think this is a steal. Especially considering they go for 60-70 normally. (I was half expecting this to be a misprint and there not be any there). Also, this comes with a pretty sweet case for it (hey, little things make me happy).

Time for some more case modding. (this should go great with the EL light kit and Window kit I won... )

Favorably! I have played around w/ both. The RTX has a nice contoured grip, bigger motor, and a neat lever that locks the shaft, so you can change bits easily. Accepts all "dremel" accessories, and best of all comes in a stunning color combo (durability? longevity?, can't comment, but it sure is inexpensive)

The problem is that I probably won't find one though if it's on closeout. I've never had any luck finding stuff posted here for super cheap at Target.

I think the Dremel stated up to 35K rpm.
I did buy the Dremel with cutting guide and flex shaft in Home Depot for 60.

Where did you find the Dremel kit with the flex tool and cutting guide for $60? I got a flier in the mail about a week ago showing a kit with the flex tool for $59.95, but when I got to the store, it was for the cheaper kit without the flex tool.. I was pissed. The one with the flex tool was $75.

I guess $75 is still a good deal for the kit, but I wanted to pay $60.

Target had the B&D flexi-shaft attachments that work with the RTX tool (and most Dremels) on clearance this summer. Got 4 of them at $7.44 a piece (regularly $29.99). None of my friends/family with Dremels wanted one, so 3 of the 4 ended up going back and are probably long since gone.

grabbed one tonight. got home and opened it an it looks like a return :disgust:. the tool has white scuffs all over the black rubber stuff, and the manual was all folded and messed up. what was supposed to come in the box? just the tool and a bag of bits?

d00d just xchange it, tell them that you thought it was new, and it was damaged. you can either get a new one, or you can get a discount b/c it is a return/damaged.

damn, wtf. i forgot to finish my story

anyways im going to take it back tomorrow and exchange it, was just kinda suprised to open it up and there only be the tool and a bag of stuff in that big ass box. thought surely there would be more. but im definately taking it back (there were 3 others on the shelf).

I've had mine for over a year and I can vouch for it's durability. Very nice tool. I like it more thant he Dremmel because of the variable speeds (there's more to choose from on the BD tool).

This is a nice tool to own.

With flex-shaft...........it's a wonderful tool all-around for most DIY, hard-to-reach work area doesn't seem to be a problem with this at all.

Comfortable grip, nice motor and reliable.
