i got the last one at the target near my house, but the box was kind of beat up, havent opened it yet to check.

anyone know if the dremel accessory kits like the one where you clamp it onto a table and drill something will work?

flexishaft is kind of lame because the tip is kinda long so, it doesn't do much for getting in tight spaces. The 90 degree attachment would be better for that. The flexishaft thing is like $25 or so at b&m's for whomever asked.

Now i don't know if Home Depot will PM their own price if the "sale" period is gone.
On 12/23, I ask a stuff about the B&D RTX (i will like a RTX-2) and he said he had this for 59. I said myself,..Ha? I know it is for 74 all the time (a flyer i got at Dec said price before 12/24) so i am unsure... take it to the reg and ring up 59! Yes. Wait no time to buy it.

Well, RTX for 28.88 is a very good price
(good review about them. Their disc seems to last longer, more powerful "engine", better grip and switch...etc and Bottom inter-exchange with tools of Dremel)
But my 59 for flex shaft AND cutting guide for a old well Brand name can not go wrong for me.

The local Target is out and says they may not have any more. Has anyone tried to price match this at any other stores?

yes on their sale flyer this week.

And Home Depot will have the same price if they carry this. I guess once they find out ppl want 10% off, they will adjust the price to 28.88 to match Target. So get a 10% diff as quick as you can before HD change their price.

(I once go to Home Depot and get 10% off when i bring the flyer with me. No call need to PM)

Still one left in Sawgrass, FL. Already put a blowhole in the side of the case and I am using it, a Taco Bell xtra large cup. and a Compusa 92mm fan to cool off my SK6. No more Delta!!!. Now I can hear again. Dang, my hard drives are loud!:Q Thanks for the post. Great deal.

Actually, there's no window installed. I used the RTX to carve out the window (went through 15 Cut-Off Discs!!!) and my friend has the panel right now with the molding to install the plexi. Will post pics after it's done

I'm also in the process of installing a 5 inch LCD (maybe on the other panel?)... And for my B'day, my folks bought me a Planar 17" LCD that has a built in USB hub, Speakers, and the coolest part of all: Pivot capability!!!! Seeing my desktop in Portrait mode rather than Landscape should put a whole new perspective on things...hahahahaha

I got mine at walmart, i took the ad and pricematched it there, my local target was out. My home depot didn't have the RTX-1, only RTX-4.

My Dremel has pretty much infinite speed variablitily between 5K and 25K. It's cordless, so not as fast as the 35k rpm found on corded models. Still for 29 bucks the B&D is an awesome deal.

Great deal.

My Dremel is getting kind of old after a decade and this seems like a nice replacement. Good case with lots of room for those bits etc. Kind of strange how the shafts poke through the case in to the storage compartment.

Seems a little torquier than the dremel and I like the shaft lock, more user friendly than the dremel. I also prefer the separate on/off switch to the variable&on/off of the dremel. Set the speed and forget it.

Even if it has lower speed at the bit the additional torque should make up for that. I know, you are supposed to cut with a light touch and use the speed but I always want to horse it through the job.

From the 'included in your kit" insert it appears as though there are minor changes to the included discs and the big change is the inclusion of the flexshaft kit.

The Wal-Mart kit is also RTX-1. Wish BLack&Decker would fix up their web page, I can't access their product list.


I grabbed one of the two kits left at Target! Must be one of the best deal post-Xmas.
