So my manager has found me out.
I wasn't exactly punished or even chastised, but still.
At any rate, it seems like most of the stores are out by now. Check on your own now, I am done with it. I won't be working again till next sunday anyhow.
Enjoy the printers everyone. It has been fun.
Thanks ex! (I vote thread of the year!) and screw the management. You got a lot of people into their store who probably bought toner and other things while they were they checking out....NOT!
I guess they were right, you do suck! ........j/k

a nice plus is that samsung has awesome CUPS support (linux/unix printing FYI) and this print works awesome with my ubuntu desktop.
Found two of the printers today......and located 3 more. And, unbelievably, found two toner replacement cartridges for $20.01 each on clearance, on their second markdown....they'd already been marked down to $40.01 but neither sold.

I just wanted to say thanks again. These were not even on display at my store. They had them in the stock room. Even the display had been put back into its box and resealed to be sold.
One question that might be odd... I've never owned a laser printer. I'm going to hook this Samsung up on my router to share it with all the computers in the house. Should I leave the printer on 24/7, or shut it off when not in use like my inkjet? Right now my inkjet is hooked up to a computer thats used all the time, and we just turn it on and off as needed. Not sure if this is what I should do for the laser, or just leave it on all the time.

finally got it for 39.99 and added the $10 extended warranty (well worth it since shipping this thing could be expensive).
thanks!

I have not opened mine up yet, but do I just plug it into my WRT54G router and then follow steps 1-4 from the following link:?

I hope there are good instructions for the network aspects

I have heard that some printer software will count the number of print jobs and limit your printing at a certain point so it is sometimes not a good idea to install the software. Does anyone know if this printer software has such an issue. Is there a native driver that can be installed without the software? Or is the software needed for the network capabilities?

yeah, lots of places do this to make sure no one sends a 500 page book to the public printer. I never heard of it come from the drivers (it usually a software package that monitors it), but it may be an option on more office oriented workhouse printers.
