DEAL IS DEAD.

I work at office depot and came in today and saw the printer for $39.99. It shows up in the system at that price. Online it still shows $229.99. I'd say most stores will honor the price, but YMMV.

This printer has ethernet, expandable memory, and prints 28-30ppm. 2000page yield toner is $59.99.

I went to Office Depot and got (what appeared to be) the last one. It was by the door with the 39.99 price shown. Seems like a good deal for a laser printer with a duplexer and networking capability.

Also, due to the low price, 1 year of extended protection through OD is 9.99.

If my experience is any guide, the extended protection would be a good investment. My ML1501 was wonderful ... for about 14 months. After that, it was paper jam city any time I had to print more than a couple of pages.

No luck in Austin, TX. The Bee Cave store doesn't even have it. The Arboretum store has 2 at regular price. Will try the Sunset Valley store on the way home.

Holy cow. I got 2. Shelf showed 229.99 clearanced for 129.99, but register rang up 39.99. Guy check other stores (I'm west of Chicago) and many had 3 left.

They have 2 replacement plan options:
9.99 for 1 additional year (2 years total)
14.99 for 2 additional years (3 years total)

For 58.28 including 8.25% tax each, this cannot be beat with 3 years replacement.

I picked up two in Ann Arbor, MI.

They were sitting out with a sign on top saying they were on clearance for $119 down from $229. They rang up as 39.99, however.

PS - there were a LOT of printers on sale and on clearance. None were quite a steal like this, but many good deals.

Its much easier for me if you and others give me store numbers.

Just go to http://www.officedepot.com/stores/input.do and find your closest 3 or 4 (or any stores you'd be willing to drive to) then give me those.

But store #2299 has 2, #961 has 1 (may be display, although we never displayed any), #926 has 2, and #860 has 2.
