Insomniac - WAY BETTER! You don't have to run a single extra cable for PIP on this TV, the signal is split inside the TV! This TV has "TWO Tuner PIP" They are both built right in to the TV. All you have to do to watch 2 stations at once is push the PIP button on the remote!
Some TV's have PIP but only 1 tuner, with these models you have to run extra cables from your VCR to utilize PIP. They use the VCR's tuner as your 2nd tuner. But we are free of that!
With this TV and your VCR you have THREE tuners, you can watch two stations at once on your TV AND record a 3rd one on your VCR! LOL

I have to wait because it just came off the truck and it is about 40 degrees here. The delivery guys said they were told to tell me that. From experience (and knowledge) the digital/discrete components should be rated for that, but I don't know. Better safe than sorry.

BTW--I didn't see them drop it, but they had fun getting it down to the dolly from five feet up! And they put their fingerprints on the glass! Arghhh!

UPDATE ON $50 GIFT CHECK

For those of us that ordered on 11/22, we might be in luck!
I talked with a CSR and she said that if I ordered on 11/22,

She did not know how long it would take to receive, but thought we should get it quickly!

NE1 find a good deal on the tv stand for the wega (32&quot; model). So far, I've been looking in Crutchfield for the SU32FD3. with shipping it comes to $190 and I will receive a 20% gift cert back. I rather buy it for less without a gift cert.

Also, I also in need for a Video component input cable. Maybe I will order the stand from crutchfield and then order the component input cable from crutchfield using the ~$34 gift cert.

$50 GIFT CHECK UPDATE

Obviously the CSR that I spoke with earlier did not know what the hell she was talking about!
I noticed how now when you place $299 or more of merchandise in your 800.com cart, the $50 gift check also shows in the cart. When you look at the promotion details - it now shows that it is good on purchases from 11/23 thru 11/30 (instead of 11/22 thru 11/30 like it showed before).

Does anybody have a screen shot of the $50 gift check before 800.com changed it? I ordered the 32&quot; PIP model on the 22nd, seeing that promotion. Obviously, it didn't show up in my cart, but I thought it was just one of those things where the new promos haven't been updated yet.

Great job!! Thanks for saving a screen shot of the old date. Like you, I'm kind of a cynic with these things and tend to save screen shots on certain deals, but I didn't on this one.

For others, I'd suggest E-mailing 800.Com with your order # in the subject line and inquire about the $50 check - provided you ordered on 11/22/2000. Also, include the screen shot graphic as proof.

I talked to a rep yesterday to get my shipping problem straightened out - my TV is no longer going to Florida, but to my house in Va. I also mentioned the $50 deal and he was a bit clueless - so now I'll try the E-mail route.

For issues relating to the wavy stock tickers, is there an option to adjust the brightness and contrast that might minimize this effect? I'm sure there's someting, insomniac, to get your issue resolved. Have you checked to see if Sony has an authorized service center in your area? Good luck!!

After witnessing the wavy stock ticker myself, I quickly hit the 'net to see if anyone experienced this. I found that people who bought the first Wega's (in 1998) did, but it was supposed to be fixed now. It isn't on my TV (32FS16). That is why I figure I would ask you guys because I'm sure your TVs were made around the same time. I have adjusted all of the video settings according to the Video Essentials DVD and had to change the tilt to -1. I plan to call Sony on Monday.
