Well I've been looking for this for a long time. So in case someone else is here is an excellent deal, I think.

Yes it definitely is. Cold rolled steel. This is basically the best traditional wok available in US. By the way if you are in the market for cookware I highly recommend the book I got this from. It ranks all kinds of cookware by real chefs.

Restaurant supply stores have always been the best places to get commercial quality cookware for K*Mart prices. Good stuff, all of them. Nice find.

However, you know it's impossible to duplicate restaurant wok cooking at home, equipment aside, it's all about the heat.

What book is that?

My favorite wok is a 14" made from cast iron! It weighs 30 lbs. and when you get it hot, it really holds the heat. Great for stir frying.

The book I was talking about is called "The New Cook's Catalog" by Burt Wolf and other world renowned chefs.

I thought about getting the cast iron wok however I like to toss my stir frys so that ruled the cast iron wok out. This one is much lighter, I can't wait to season it this weekend, along with my brand new crepe pans and try them both this weekend.

That is if it stops raining for a short bit.

If you don't have enough heat, go buy one of those 150,000 btu deep fried turkey cookers for about $40 or so. You can make woks glow cherry red if you want. Move it outside to avoid the cleanup!!
