Sounds like Imations or at least the people who make Imation cdr's. My 40X liteon doesn't like my old 8X Imations but those are 2 years old so we will see how these react.

Thanks, allisolm, for the post! I went to BestBuy to pick up a MS internet keyboard (hoping to PM it later, keeping my fingers crossed for that), so I asked for a price check on the CD-Rs. They told me it's $11.99 at the counter, and when I checked out, the cashier lady was surprised and mentioned that these CD-Rs didn't cost me much at all!

These refuse to burn at 48x in my LiteOn. Nero locks up at writing the lead in. Funny though, the burn light comes on and stays on and when I pull the disk out, you can see the burned area. But Nero remains at 6%, writing lead in. 40x is fine. ymmv

Thanks for posting this deal. As tempting as it sounds, I might have to pass on it. 350 discs are staring me in the face at this current moment due to excessive "hot deals" purchases in the past. Needless to say, the 350 discs are all certified to burn at slower speeds (< 24x) and I have a 48x burner.

Yep the store in Southern Cal, has them ring up at 14.99 with the 12 dollar rebate.

Although the shelf tag, has it at 17.99 with 15 rebate. But then there is basically no difference.

Picked up ONE, and net will be $4.xx for 75 cdrs.

But thats the info.

Got one, but register rung up at $14.99. Told cashier it was $12.99 by mistake, not $11.99 as shown in their shelf (sticker) tag. Not bad for $ 2.46 after rebate & stamp. $.033/CD.

BTW, it does not come with a spindle to hold the CD-R, just shrink wrapped.

OMG...I'm gonna kill Best Buy

I placed the order on Thursday for in-store pick-up and then I go and it's not ready and they tell me they cant fulfil the order. I go home and I get an e-mail stating the same, but I have the option of having it shipped for free. So I figure...fine, better than nothing. But it says that in order for that...they cancelled my old order and I have to go online and order again. But now the online price is $14.99.

So basically, I just wrote the customer rep a really nasty letter basically saying giving it to me for my original order price. I guess we'll see what happens.
