It's ridiculous how tempting these hard drive deals are to me even though I have no need for them. I currently have 50GB free on one drive and 27GB free on another and I am still debating whether I should get this drive or not.

Can you please include the fact that MSN Rewards are included in your $54 net cost? In my view, MSN Rewards are not the same as cash. IMO, deals that include them should state so in the title.

Little tip:

when I went to the store to pick up my drive the receipt did not print out the MIR. First they told me that it may be a WD MIR and I'd have to download it from their website. My BS detector (from the big sale last year at Amazon ) came on and I went into the store to check the (empty) shelves. Oh well it stated that "MIR prints out with receipt". So the dude at the pick-up scanned in my pick up receipt, and lo and behold it came out with the MIR and the rebate receipt - voila finally...

whoa. really?? thanks! i guess i will go and pick that up then. i love getting rebate receipts and MIR forms from the store of purchase. it makes things seem more official for me and making the room for error less on my part.

I got the notice about an hour after I saw it on the site. I had decided to just order it for in-store pickup and let it sit there for 12 days until I go home, but luckily delivery was available when I went back.

Looks like it's OOS online again and maybe OOS at B&M stores (it's that way for all 3 stores in my area). But again, you never know when they become available online. If you really want one, check back often - I missed out initially on CC's Black Friday deals but during the weekend was able to get all the stuff I wanted.

Also updated the title to include MSN dollars - I know it's not money back in your pocket, but hopefully we can use it for something we gonna buy anyways.

the website now shows 139.99. However, upon actually buying it shws up as 119.99

Some of the participating stores at MSN wallet are quite a bit more expensive than the norm (i checked out the sporting goods stores). However, I guess there ill always be CC or Kmart to fall back on while redeeming the dollars.
