Seriously, newbie, that's a highly illegal way to get a "hot deal." Buying the item, returning it and still turning in the rebate would be considered fraud. While I hate CC as much as the next guy, I'd rather get a hot deal out of them without committing a crime. I suggest you remove your thread before it gets you banned. You wouldn't want to miss the hot deals in this place due to a "misinterpretation" of the rules.

that would certainly work, except that BB has a crap rebate system .

I wouldn't do it for ethical reasons, but i can't see anything illegal about either. But just because it is legal doesn't make it right.

However I think we are all adults here, or close, and you are right to let the individual decide.

No prob, I'll remove the deal...I had no idea this was illegal. But I guess if it gets classified under fraud it is. I was thinking more of specifics, like they probably don't have a law against buying something, getting a rebate, and returning it. But I didn't think about it getting classified under a broader category. Thanks though to people like Valkyrie, Rally1, and hollowman, who actually have intelligent, instructive, and thought-out criticism.

No thanks to such wonderful people as Rontype1 and w74656 (bet you took hours coming up with that one, too bad I never said it was "complicated"...i said I "figured out" the deal because it wasn't an advertised one. Then again, maybe you were being serious and it really was complicated to you...sorry if it was)
