I found a good deal on some computer products....I bought the items and found it cheaper at the store which also warranties it and it just so happens that my parts went bad.......this got me to thinking.....


DO WE NEED TO HAVE A REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE TO KEEP US AWAY FROM THESE DEALS???


BTW Steve0......I got the 256MB valueram from buy.com DOTD......and it wont even work on my motherboard. But I guess what, even though it is worthless to me I feel dam good that I got it....

Oh no.....time to go back to bed, hopefully I have another nightmare to keep me in check.

Actually, I suspect a lot of us who bought the Buy.com 256meg DOTD won't be able to use it in our motherboards. We're just sick, there's no other word for it.

Hi, my name is geoff, and I'm a deal addict.

I have wasted precious internet bandwidth scouring dozens of deal sites of low repute just so I could save $3 on a DVD.

I have stacked coupons 3 deep, and delved into the depths of intertwined frame hell to save an extra 5% of an already outrageous price.

I have registered with sites multiple times and taken advantage of coupons that were for "first time visitors only".

I have certainly directly contributed to the decline and bankruptcy of various online merchants.

Is there any hope for me?

I am guilty of lot of on line fraud, changing my name to get more freestuff, and sending them to home, work and PO box where possible.

If staples goes down, I could be one of the reasons, I have so many phones lying around the house, my wife thinks I am a BIG NUT CASE, and getting worse, she even asked me to go for a therapy.
I will give you a good reason, I even ordered that crappy creative desktop speakers and received more crappy PCI Video card. My Office room has more computer parts than most of the CircuitCities.

I can relate with most of you especially with you Vengog on the Staples deals. I've purchased phones, speakers, leather chair, tons of software and hardware and yet I still keep looking for the deal of the day.

The truth is there's no such thing as the deal of the day. We're all looking for something for nothing. I think it's human nature to want to find a good deal. Much like an animal on the prowl for food , we techies are always on the prowl for good tech deals. Our food just happens to cost a heck of a lot more...
