i got a very similar mailer from a local dealership.

the top prize was 25000 cash, or a 2014 ford focus. the bottom prize was a lottery ticket. i got the feeling every mailer was a winner.

Would love for OP to post a pic of the promo so we can all laugh at his reading skills/comprehension evaluate the OP's chance of having won big time.

Head in and if they try to pull one of the many stunts described here tell them, pay out the prize or you go to the local news to make a fuss.
Wear a wife beater shirt while doing the TV interview.

OP should show up to claim his prize. Test drive their most expensive car and don't buy anything. What's the worst that can happen? Maybe you'll like the car and it's luxurious interior made from the finest Chinese plastic.
My brother does this all the time. He'll get some weird thing in the mail saying he won the right to test drive a Dodge Charger on a race track. It turns out that was a real offer. He did a few laps in a Charger and said it was a lot of fun.

Great idea, took thieves about .000000000001 second to come up with that the moment they heard you can get a key made from the VIN. Since it worked once or twice ages ago now you have to prove ownership first. A VIN isn't enough, you'll need a valid registration.
Hmmm, good point.

Okay, How about you get a fleet of minions (kids) and go door to door collecting those from people who are planning on just throwing them out? I'm not sure I've seen a "non-transferable" clause on the rules. Could you collect a few hundred, and turn them all in for a few hundred of the last place prize?

Quick, OP - read yours & see if there's a non-transferable clause.

Not all rules are posted, almost every contest has a "see here for full rules". One of those rule is almost always limit 1 or limit 1 for the next 3/6/12 months.

Let's st the odds of winning are 1:500,000, but only 100,000 ads were sent out. Does at least one person have to win?

Here is exactly what the fine print says...

Odds of winning $25,000 or New Car: 1:500,000; Odds of winning $Up to $30k Cash Ticket: 39,996:40,000; Odds of winning HDTV: 1:40,000; Odds of winning Apple IpadMini: 1:40,000; Odds of winning $25 gift card: 1:40,000;. No purchase necessary. Winning Must be a valid licensed driver, 18 years of age or older. All prizes furnished by Real Performance Mail, 5405 Cypress Drive, Suite 220, Tampa, FL 33609. Dealership and its agency are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected mail, typographical errors or production errors.

Odds of winning $Up to $30k Cash Ticket: 39,996:40,000

Thats the really fishy part.. So even though it says I won 25k.. you prolly get a cash ticket for $1 or 2
