I got one for $8.51!!! HeHe

I told the manager at Gamespot, also called Software ETC or Babbages, that EB had the same thing on sale for $8.99, so he rang me up at $7.99. I don't know why he didn't just pricematch but I didn't stand around to ask. I got the last one they had, and it was originally marked $29.99, clearanced for $19.99 and the Mgr took an additional $12.00 off that.

Color me happy as I now have a cheap USB hub for my Notebook. The HUB is tiny, which will fit very nicely in my Laptop bag.

I got one from the SF EBX, but it cost $9.99. Oh well in San Francisco rent is more expensive, food is more expensive and gas is more expensive. Why shouldn't USB hubs cost more?

I found one copy of Quake III:Arena at my local EB for $9.99! It even comes in a spiffy metal box.

The catch is that it's the Linux edition. If you insist on running it in Windows, though, the instructions are printed right on the box on what to download to make it work under Windows. Gotta love it!

Also picked up a copy of Europa U for $1.99. Sounds interesting and can't go wrong at that price!

This has got to be the sweetest deal I came across. I went to EB B&M and of coarse they did not have the price change in effect on the shelf so I went picked it up brought it to the counter and sure enough it was 8.99. Now since I worked in Babbages for 10 years I know first hand that no manager could get through all those price changes that come in everyday. Since I know this I bought the reciept to Babbages right after and told them what I just bought at EB and they gave me the one they had for the same price. If you call chances are that someone will say they don't have it and scarf it up for themselves so walk in and do a pricematch. I have bought Belkin hubs for 40.00 in the past and this shark hub is just as good plus it comes with a stand. Also XP recognizes it with no problems and I have 3 of them on my PC with no problems. Everybody better jump on this deal because when Babbage corporate find out they will price them all down on next shipment and they will sell out so fast you will not be able to find them any more.

Went to local EB and they had 2, but didn't think they were selling for $8.99. They did not have them out on display, ran an inventory check and had 2 in stock. He had to go into the back to get it and of course it rang up @$8.99 so cool deal!

Delivered today, just got it running, seems to be working great. got a printer, a webcam and the intel wireless basestation running on it. it really is tiny, looks good though.

Picked up the last one from the EB near me. Had to ask about it, they had it back in storage and didnt know it had been marked down. Rang up as $9.99, not $8.99, but with the original price tag showing $29.99, I wasn't going to argue! Works nice, even runs my iFeel mouse without plugging in the AC adapter! Design matches my case too. It's a steal if you can find one.

so it plugs into the PS/2 port? Won't that slow the USB hub down to PS/2 speeds, thus negating the speed differential between the USB and PS/2?

Not worth it to me; I do camerawork and demand the speed

Oh, this might possibly be a decent deal as well. This Interact USB kit includes a USB hub, gamepad, mouse, and 2 USB extension cords for $30. The gamepad is a basic 6-button w/2 triggers, the hub has four ports and an AC adapter, the mouse is a 2-button with scroll wheel, and the USB extensions are 6 feet long. It's marked down from $60, picked one up from the B&M shortly after Chrsitmas, didn't realize the website had it too.

They are a small powered hub. Works great and at this price you can't go wrong! They are not available online anymore, but I was able to score 3 of em at the 2 B & M stores I went to (Houston) last week.
