I'm pretty sure you can do this again since these are likely different rebate offers - I think they only run for a week each time.

I went to BB thinking I'd pick up another Imation 100-pk for the RIP points, but was shocked to find all the spindles they have are without RIP point offers! These must be new packages, they say 48X. First they (Imation) reduced points awarded with these CD-Rs, and now they are not even offering them...:disgust:

people probably stole them. if you order online with free shipping, you will get them... atleast i did last week. (the ones last week were 48x as well)

Will any of these disks play as VCD on a DVD player? I have a trouble getting this to work. Tried PNY disk and Fuji TY disks and still no go. Is there some strick requirement on what CD-Rs will work as Video CD disks in a DVD player?

oddly enough the troubled dvd players i have come across(especially older sonys that claim not to even play cdr's at all but do) play with one type of cd only (and i have tried dozens and dozens
they play with these cheap cdrs by sti that circuit city carries..... (cant be found on thier website in the 80minute variety but in store you can ussually find them..... look for the boxes simular to those on the top part of this page at sti http://www.sticertified.com/cdr1.htmlsti link

they really really do work in almost all car and dvd players that are troubled..... you can tell if you have the right disks by looking at the bottom of em if its so shiny it looks like a mirror (no murkiness at all compared to other cdr's)

if you keep an eye out circuit city has sales on em stock up when they do....

they are cheap cds and may not last thru a hailstorm but they DO work where others fail.... go figure....

Maybe you should get another DVD player. I have one from Pioneer (2 years old?) and so far all the different CD-Rs I tried worked just fine.

My car's CD player has trouble with the Pthalo-cyanine CDR's but will play the Cyanine ones no prob... Any idea on which of these are Cyanine vs. Pthalo-cyanine?

if u got them last week u may get the price protection thing to work
they had 40x and 48x where I went, same barcode, same price ( 2.99 + tax after IR and MIR)

Shagger, according to the Smart Burn program I got with a LiteOn CDRW, the Fuji (TY's) are cynanine. Imations are phthalocyanine. Interestingly, my car CD player will not play anything recorded on TY's (I've tried Fuji and TDK), but works fine with the Imations.

Just a little FYI for you guys. Above, you guys mentioned that there was a limit to the number of FujiFilm rebates per year...

YOU CAN GET AS MANY AS YOU LIKE.

I just talked to a FujiFilm rebate rep, and I asked her about a limit. She told me you can get every rebate that comes out!

I dunno if this is a good thing though, I'll probably end up spending too much Then again, it can't hurt to have too many Taiyo Yudens
