Some of you probably remember a program called "CTspd" created by the german magazine c't that would read the SPD on SDRAM chips to tell the manuf data, default speed settings, etc. Unfortunately it doesn't work with DDR. The other day I read about a recent shareware program called CPUcool, that among it's many features, is said to read the SPD data on DDR's. Give it a try and let us know what it says.

which part of it is important?
Ok I don't have a DDR capable MB yet, so can't verify this actually reads DDR data, but if it works like old SDRAM DIMMS, the stuff of interest can be found this way:
In the Big Display mode;
Functions --> SDRAM EEPROM contents --> SDRAM (1,2,3,4)
First screen should show;
CAS latency:
RAS-to-CAS delay:
RAS precharge:
SDRAM cycle time:
SDRAM access time:
then click Extended Output, screen is mostly the same info, click OK another screen pops up
halfway down the right will tell the;
Manufacturer:
bottom line will show;
Specification for frequency:
This won't tell anybody what the max o'clock ability is, but should at least tell us the manuf specs.
