I agree completely. There's absolutely no call for people to become involved n and enjoy a series of movies regardless of how entertaining or stimulating the concept and story are. Especially if they're nerds.

totaly agree, I saw the first three movies for the first time 3 years ago and I realy didnt get it why people thought they were that great, few months ago I watched ep6 again and boy did that movie SUCK ASS.

Whats realy funny about this all ep2 fiasco is seeing the exact thing as it was with ep1. Everyone hyped up for the movie saying its going to rule and then they see it and say it sucks and then the hype for ep2 starts.

Yup, I am in the same boat.

I am going into SWEP2 with low expectations so I'll have to like it somewhat.

it wasn't that bad at all. i really enjoyed it. I love star wars. it wasn't bad at all.
btw, i only watched it now, because i have finals on the 16th and am not able to go watch it then.
i will definately go seen it in the theaters more than once.
i also read the book and thought it was very well done.

its al opinion.. personally i thought that ep1 was better then lotr ep1... then again.. the large battles in ep1 are way way more detailed and way more intense

LotR 1 didn't have any battles.

If you're refering to that short one at the beggining, that didn't actually happen in the LotR books, but was meant to give the audience a quick history of the ring.


LotR 2 and 3 have some spectacular battles though. Two in each book, plus many minor skirmishes. And when I say spectacular, I mean it. Its rumoured that there'll be upwards of 10 000 orcs on screen at the same time

i read the comics for it... and it might be a tiny bit love oriented.. but thats george lucas' way to make trilogies... look at "empire strikes back"... meow.... slow paced there.. and ep 6 should finish with a huge bang im just pumped to see the thousands of clones

The point people are missing about both EP1 and EP 2 is that they are mainly character based movies where EP 4, 5, & 6 were mainly plot based movies. Yes you still have to have a plot in the new ones but they are primarily focused on Anakin's character and his decent to the dark side. I'm sooooo sorry that you had to sit through some dialog and the whole movie wasn't a big fight, explosion, etc... after another. God forbid they do character development and a background as to how they arrived at the point where EP 4 starts.

A friend I work with read the AOTC book last week and said it flat out rocks if you understand the storyline and all the behind the scenes intrigue. I got sick of him talking about it so I finally bought and read it myself. If the movie is anything like the book it will be excellent. The whole Senator Palpatine/Darth Sidous & Count Dooku/Darth Tyrannus thing is handled very well and will become perfectly clear.

You people whining that there isn't enough action need to go watch some Jean Claude Van Damme or other crap like that since it's obvious you don't have the mental capacity to understand much else.

When you see the battle of Helms Deep you will spontaneously cream yourself.
Then in ROTK when you see the battle of the Pellanor fields you will spontaneously cream yourself twice within a 2 second period.

I just don't care for the Star Wars saga that much after the first one. It is not the pinnacle of science fiction writing (or filmmaking).

However, to each his own . . . I am looking forward to the Ep.2 DVD and maybe - just maybe - if enough of my friends tell me it's worth it - I will drag my butt into the cinema . . .

However, there is no use arguing with you Star Wars fans ... I really hope the movie lives up to your expectations (I'm sure we'll hear you posting here after you see it).

Seems to be that other people who saw the movie thought it rocked. I am talking to one now and he says the movie was action packed and full of life and was way better then Episode I ever was.

Maybe we saw different movies.. who knows. I think I am going to be outnumbered in a week when everyone else sees it, but I am sticking to my opinion of it being a boring movie.

Who knows, maybe I was in a bad mood when I watched it.

There was some action.. but not enough. For a movie to bore me it has got to be really really bad. And for one to get me to study insted of watching it dosen't say much for it either
