Sorry I'm late...been busy the last few days...

Hello, look out for the floor, slammin' be happenin' here...

<< Amercian's gnp hasn't skyrocketed because of any of the administrations you listed... >>

Sorry dude, I specifically listed every administration over the last 40 years, and generally referenced every administration back thru the eighteenth century. I guess you're saying we've been bankrupt since the Constitution was signed, eh?

<< It's only through the efforts of the humble american worker and businessman that has allowed the institution of government to grow in a freakin' $1.7 trillion dollar spending-spree nightmare >>

Whoa...big wake-up call for me. I was, like, totally sure that America was less than 500 million in debt when Carter was voted out. Reagan (a republican, for those of you who didn't know) bumped up the debt well over three trillion during his eight-year reign. Latest figures show we're well above 5 trillion in debt (blame Clinton, if it makes you fiscally unaware pundits feel better...I will just assume you don't know what "interest" means). Our national budget has to account for the debt, interest and inflation as well, ya know. You're blaming the "humble american worker and businessman" for this? Go buy a gallon of gas sometime. Note the price is different than what you paid six months ago. Blame the guy in the next car, see how he likes your animosity.

<< So the Reagan Administration single-handedly built, marketed, sold and brainwashed america into buying fuel-inefficient automobiles? >>

Moron. Of course not. Government recalls automobiles, they don't build and sell them. Besides, if you would kindly learn to read, you would see that I actually corrected you on the previous attempt you made to turn around my point...and you have now ignored it twice, as if you are always right, and I was...or more accurately, said...nothing.

<< What are you smoking... >>

Obviously, whatever is coming out of "your exhaust".

<< ...and where can I get some? >>

Bend over.

<< << claiming nobody wants to buy electric or hybrid >>I'd buy one if the price was right... >>

Big duh. That was the whole point of that portion of my argument. Notice the part of my quote you conveniently omitted: "even if the automakers did build them at competitive prices". Please, also notice I haven't edited the previous post. TYVM.

<< I would assume you don?t own or drive a heavy truck, SUV or Suburban yourself? >>

You assume correctly. What a smart kid you are.

<< To mother earth crude oil is a resource >>

Yeah, Mother Earth uses crude oil for plant life photosynthesis. No, wait...Mother Earth uses crude oil for CO2->Oxygen conversion. No, that's wrong, too...wait, Mother Earth uses crude oil for cleaning her garden tools...no, that would be gasoline, a derivitive of crude oil...and everybody with a third-grade education knows Mother Earth doesn't know how to refine crude oil into gasoline.

<< She isn't harmed in any way by the removal of this resource >>

So, since "removal" of just about every other resource is considered by environmentalists to be detrimental to our ecology, are you saying oil is the exception? Got sumpthin' to back up this claim? Look, you take without asking, or take out of force, it's considered rape. Go argue to a sympathetic judge somewhere if you want to continue that part of your debate.

<< Isn't Gore supposed to be the best "environmentalist"? >>

Please learn to read. Education is the most valuable resource our country has. I do believe I stated, and again did not edit my post (TYVM), that Bush promised both Detroit and the oil industry that we would continue to live in the 20th century...or in other words, "keep pushing that oil-slurping machine".

<< I fight stupidity and misinformation whenever I can. >>

My gawd, I wish I had as good of a comeback as Red...

But I don't, so bite me.
