I guess I can add mine here too.

Car: 05 330Ci
Mileage: 111,125

Things that were replaced by dealer because broken/warranty:

Lower radiator hose (since I got the car in the dealer for warranty service, all of a sudden the car developed other symptoms too , such as intermittently noisy water pump, steering feels loose, so they replaced the water pump with new metal impeller and FCABs - at 60K. Oh, and I thought I heard the belt tensioner made noise too :hmm: - so those were replaced as well).

Things that were replaced because, well, consumables:
1 set of brake pads/rotors (with Performance Friction pads and Brembo rotors)
2 sets of tires
Trans fluid - flush and filter + new bolts and gasket @60K miles (did this myself, while cussing at the car, the transmission's designer and immediate family, also got cinched in the process)
All the fan belts
Steering fluid flush @60K miles
Brake fluid flush and replace with racing brake fluid.
Oil change at every 7.5K miles @dealerships since it's cheap enough.
Cabin filter and air filter change with oil.
Radiator flushes

Things that I changed out, just because:
Fuel filter (once it hit 100K miles mark @ dealership, because it was cheap enough)
VANOS seals @60K, this one cost me $60 from Beisan System, and some beers.
Since I had the valve covers opened, I changed out all the spark plugs and seals that I see as well. Cost me parts, not too bad.
New battery.

Things that I enhanced the car with:
A few pack of cottons to jam up the rear space where the factory sub-woofer sits so it doesn't rattle.
Auxiliary input
Front cleared corner markers
AIR FRESHENERS!!!

Things that happened to the car, unplanned:
Ran over a pothole, cracked my right rear tire and destroyed a tire. It was dark.
A giant piece of tire rubber flew up from the freeway, scratched my hood, right front quarter panel, right mirror and right door. Had that resprayed.
Some asshat* decided to use my driver door to express his/her artistic feelings with a key. Had that resprayed.
Some asshat* rear ended me while I was sitting at a stop light - that buffed right out, with a new bumper, and new battery (mind you, I replaced this battery just two months before, well, just because...) and some minor cosmetic adjustment to the right rear fender.
Since the car was in the shop, I asked the guy to respray the front bumper and hood too, because bugs cannot mind their own business and keep colliding with my car at high rate of speed. Same with pebbles. Damn them to hell! So my car now looks pretty good, right?
Yup, it looked good, that's why immediately afterwards, some other asshat* decided to toss a Snapple (TM) bottle at the front right lamp. Luckily, he/she has the aim of a 6 month old, so it hits the corner of the hood instead. That left a mark, enough to be annoying but has not been buffed out or resprayed. I figure a few more long distance trips before I respray the whole thing (since I moved about 50 yards from the beach a few years ago, I now start to notice oxidation spots, very minute, but noticeable after wash - the car is garaged and wash/waxed regularly).

*all asshats live in different geographical locations and have no connections to each others, or perceived causes to hurt my car.

Things I'm going to do to the car, soon:
Replace the CVV (crankcase vent valve - because it needs to go, it's OLD!)
Do the whole fluid flushing thing.
Might think about changing out the alternator.
Spark plugs, ignition coils
Seals, etc...

I don't baby the car, I *occasionally* drive it on *mostly* empty mountain roads like I stole it. I firmly believe that the engine should go though all the rev range, just to keep it in shape .

So there, a tale by your pal, Sssnail.

P.S. I think one of these days after I wash it, I'll post pics.
