If you like Jack and are planning on mixing with Coke, stick with Bourbon. The beauty of bourbon is that it's manufactured under very strict standards. It can only come from one place with a narrow range of acceptable grain mixes, a certain kind of water and virgin oak casks for aging. So unlike vodkas and tequilas where some stuff is utter crap, even cheap bourbon is pretty damn good because it's not allowed to deviate from the norm. You can find stuff like Evan Williams, Early Times and other inexpensive bourbons for less than half the price of JD and they're pretty damn good. Since you're quite obviously not too discriminating or experienced, you'd be unlikely to tell the cheap bourbons apart from Jack when mixed with Coke.

thanks guys, this is what i ended up getting and its pretty good for the price. I got 1.75L for $13.

I don't know if brandy is the same way, but man, even cheap brandy's gooooood stuff.

just go out and buy a $10 handle of the cheapest stuff you can buy.
Then buy crystal light mix... $2ish

Mix it up as usually... just put a bunch of vodka or rum in a cup.... we usually use vodka cus crystal light really hides the taste.... then add in the ice and crystal light over it....

Tastes great, barely any cheap alcohol taste, gets you messed up for the entire night, and best of all CHEAP!
