They also have the 128 meg smart media card for about the same price ($50.XX).

This isn't as good as the Staples deal, but that deal is sold out for most people now, it seems. Anyways, if you need a card and need it now, $25 for 128 megs isn't bad.

As per dpreview.com's article analysis, SanDisk CF are among the slowest in reading and writing speeds. Just a thought.

Actually, the review says that the Sandisk 512 meg card is the slowest 512 meg card that they tested. It does not say that "sandisk cards are the slowest compact flash cards." (You'll note that other sandisk cards placed higher in their review). The card mentioned in this deal was not included in their tests.

I own one of these cards, and there's no unusual delay in writing a 4 megapixel picture using my Kodak DX4900 camera. Read speeds, over regular USB, also seem very fast.
