I have an FOP38 insalled in my Asus p3v4x. It fits fine, though if I remember correctly it may be crowding the first dimm slot. It cools my 650 @ 910 Cmine much more effectively that the Gorb it replaced. I didn't realize how unstable my system was at 910 until I replaced the Orb.
But, as I noted in a post above, these puppies are LOUD.
However, this issue can be mitigated with the use of a good system monitor utility, such as ASUS PROBE, which ships with the p3v4x. Using that utility, you can set the minimum temp at which that big ass Delta fan should kick into high gear. Below the set temp, the HSF spins at very low revolutions and is very quiet (in fact, I can't even hear it over my PS and case fans) With my current settings, the fan never revs up under normal activities such as web surfing, disc burning, WP, etc. Obviously, under heavy load, particularly when gaming, the fan will rev up to gail force every so often. But, when you're fraggin away at your friends, who notices fans? In any event, the system remains rock stable the entire time.
