maker's mark for 'cheap' whiskey? right.
I bought a 1.75L bottle for less than $30. That's pretty damn cheap.
Pendleton is kinda misleading. It's actually a Canadian whiskey that's bottled in Oregon.
JD isn't that cheap here, and it's made in the state...maker's mark is a decent bit more.
you 'bought' or 'can buy'? big diff.

Bought. Total Wine & Spirits in NV. Awesome store btw.
I went to a Total Wine & Spirits in Delaware. Awesome beyond words... beer, liquor, and wine all in the same store, and no sales tax. :awe:
I thought that this thread was supposed to be about good cheap whiskey. Most of what people are mentioning here is not cheap.
Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but Blantons bourbon is the best I've tried. Buy some you'll thank me. It runs about $60, don't know if that breaks the bank or not.
Let's be clear that whiskey is not whisky. The Canadians, Scots and Japanese make Whisky, everybody else (US, Ireland) makes Whiskey.
What about Crown Royal?
Blantons is my favorite bourbon, but it's solidly in the premium category. Knob Creek is my favorite in the middle range. I stick by Old Forester though. It tastes a lot more expensive than it is.
Crown Royal is a blended whiskey not bourbon.
