That is laughable that Ravens will win the division. If Polamalu stays healthy all year it won't even be close. Pittsburgh's receivers are going to have a break out year and you are going to see some big time bombs. To many weapons on offense this year for any team to cover.

You're giving too much credit to the Bengals and with Manning likely gone for the season, too much to the Colts. If Collins has a good year they MIGHT sneak into the playoffs only because they're in a weak division and only if Houston screws up. Seriously, if Houston messes up this opportunity Kubiak should be demoted to water boy.

Pittsburgh didn't have a problem with weapons - they had a problem with the offensive line. If Roethlisberger doesn't have enough time for Wallace to get deep, it really doesn't matter where Wallace is.

Again - you can like the Steelers better, but its silly to say the difference is huge at this point.

that is a bold claim, especially w/the current state of the teams starting roster.

Mostly I think Eli is going to have a really good year. Even in his Superbowl year he had a lot of interceptions, though. Anywhoo, this isn't my prediction thread.

all the professional analysts are saying that Eli has regressed in recent times and he's getting worse, not better.

and while i know it's just preseason, he looked pretty awful in preseason. i remember last year i kept saying that about mcnabb, that it's only preseason. he turned out to be just as bad in the regular season. but again ... just preseason.

I know its a crazy prediction but I think the Giants finish last in the division this year. Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins, Giants.

This. Eli has looked god aweful in preseason. I know its just preseason but .... he hasn't looked this bad since his rookie year, and I always watch preseason.

I predict that Eli will have the best season of any Manning in the NFL.

I actually have my Vikes going 8-8; I think McNabb got sort of a raw deal last year and will play better in purple. Sure he lost Rice, but they still have weapons on offense and the defense is not totally horrible (though losing Williams for 2 games hurts).

I have the Bears at the bottom of the North. Things went a little too smoothly for them last year and I think they'll drop wildly.

If you had said 5-11, I would say that I disagree and that they will be 6-10 at the worst and 8-8 at the best.

What I like about deeko is persistency - not his ability to persistently pick winners - but him posting these threads years after years regardless of how wrong he was.

I think Dallas will do better than 8-8 for sure, their schedule is pathetically easy compared to last year. Emmitt Smith says 8-8, but that seems unlikely to me.

Their main difficulty will be the Eagles (twice), and the Giants (twice), everybody else is fairly soft (as I would also describe Dallas fwiw).

I think 9-7 or 10-6 are probable, perhaps a wild-card in and out of the playoffs.

I think Garrett and the Cowboys will be pretty clear within the first 4 games.

That said, even as an Eagles fan, I just don't see them getting past the Packers to the SB. I don't even see them winning 12 games. Unlike much of the rest of the universe, I'm not convinced Vick won't regress big time. For me, all the signs are there. When pressured badly later last season, he tended to throw picks. I don't see that changing, especially behind this year's leaky and woefully inexperienced O-line.

We'll see. The weapons at all the offensive skill positions are certainly there. I'm just not sure that they're a balanced and set TEAM.

Anyway, the Eagles brain trust gave Vick that ginormous contract, and they know more about pro football than I (or any other OT poster, for that matter) ever will, so . . .

Oh, and whoever said the Gints will win the NFC East is a complete and utter idiot.

Also, I, too, think the 'Boys go better than 8-8.
