Man your predictions suck. They are very similar to all preseason sports media I've read.
Must be just a coincidence, right? OOoooooor you're just another Jim Rome clone.
Go eagles! McNabb! His Knees!
Jime Rome gets paid a lot more money than I do to talk about sports, so I'll take that as a compliment.

This is why I love doing this every year. Fans from every team that I don't have winning the super bowl come out of the woodwork to tell me I know nothing about football.
...will do just as well if not better than the Bears by the end of the season...
They have upgraded the D-Line across the board, have just as good if not better line backers than the bears and are only lacking in experience at the safety position...
Lastly, if you are going to call me a homer and "stand by my team" guy...at least call out some of these Bears fans who are obviously BLINDED by their shear love for their team to not realize that Rex Grossman is a terrible QB and is one of the main reasons they lost the SB...who cares that he actually "played" for his first season...it isn't like he was introduced to the NFL last year. He was a QB that was in the system for at least 2 years prior so get off that excuse...
-You are out of your mind if you think the pack's D will be on par with the Bears
-the pack's LB are better than - Urlacher, Briggs, Hillenmeyer? right
-true, he did throw some bad passes in the SB, but wasn't any different from his performance the rest of the season. The D, for whatever reason, let the Colts run up and down the field all they wanted to. Grossman did not cost them the superbowl, their safe aproach against the pass did. And if you think sitting on the sideline with a clipboard for 2 years is the same as actually playing for 2 years, your insane. I dont claim for Rex to be the second comming of god, but hes the best on the team, and they got to the superbowl with him playing everyda. If Rexy has even a average year, the Bears are back in the superbowl easy (barring any massive injuries that is ).

No! I refuse to believe it. The Browns are losing the rest of their games. Its not possible that for a second time Dallas obtained a bad team's 1st round pick, only to have that bad team have a miraculous turnaround (buffalo in 2005). Bah!
As for Pittsburgh this season - I'll admit, I haven't seen that much of them, but from the numbers Roethlisberger is having an outstanding year, his best as a pro, so I guess the new offense can't be TOO deplorable.

leeland, you're amusing. The best part is that people (like you) will always come back kicking and screaming when I'm proven wrong, just like you were when I picked it that way to begin with. Its pretty sad - I say a million times that I am no "authority figure" as you say, and I say just as much that I'll get plenty wrong. Yet people (like you) continue to bump the thread, continue to make such a big deal out of it. If people (like you) thought so little of my picks, you wouldn't keep coming back here. You care more about them than I do, its great.
I've already said that this year has gone pretty haywire compared to my picks, but you only pick out the "obvious" right one...how about Detroit and Arizona turning it around, or San Fran not panning out, or New Orleans taking a step back? Easy to ignore what I got right, picks that went against the "expert" grain mind you, and just point out what I got wrong, huh? Again though, keep it coming. I enjoy it.
Alistar...they're in a tough spot right now, San Diego just went through a similar situation with Brees/Rivers. What makes it tough is you've got a guy that wasn't "supposed" to be a star playing well...vs a guy that IS supposed to be a star, who is untested. How many of these highly-touted quarterbacks really pan out? Will Derek Anderson keep it up? A lot of unknowns.
In my opinion, you have to keep Anderson around for at least another year. If he still plays well, lock him up, and see what kind of trade value you can get for Quinn. Even if you have a ton of faith in Quinn, I wouldn't let Anderson walk...if you have the cap space to keep them both for now, do it, because then you can at least get SOMETHING in a trade for one of them. I believe Anderson is a restricted free agent...so if they give him the highest tender, they'd only have to pay him 2.35 million. If another team signed him, they'd have to give up a 1st and a 3rd, which wouldn't be a terrible deal for the Browns. Of course, you still risk losing him, and will he play for that amount? The franchise tag is also an option, but that's a lot more money. Also, both of them leave him as a UFA following 2008. Tough call, we'll see how he plays the end of the season.

Brees was "damaged" goods at least, it did give the front office some wiggle room if it blew up in their face. The Anderson/Quin problem is a doozy for C-Town. The last thing they, or any team, can afford is to pick one QB over another and have the one they let slip away turn out to better than the one they kept. We're not talking about a linebacker or some other easily filled position. It will be interesting to see what they decide and how it plays out.
Considering it is Cleveland here is my guess, the QB they trade will haunt them throughout his career. Either by knocking them out of the playoffs on a regular basis ala Elway, or by defeating them in their first (and any subsequent) SB appearance(s).

Good show leeland, like I said on the last page, you're just like every other disgruntled crybaby that is upset that some random guy on the internet didn't think their football team would do well. I don't care what you, or anyone else here thinks about my picks. Keep those tear ducts flowin pal, it makes it all the funnier.

Yep, it will be interesting to see what happens. I think Brady Quinn has a lot of potential and couldn't believe he fell so far to begin with.

hahah, leeland, 99 out of 100 of my posts here come at work, so you insult my social life? I enjoy this because its the same thing every year - do you think you're the first person to whine and moan about my prediction for their team, insult me, my football knowledge, my motives, and then come back throughout the year if I'm wrong? These people say they "don't care" and they're just "calling me out", but they continue to go back and find the thread as time goes on. I also find the responses funny, because people seem to think that I consider myself an expert, because I'm willing to make predictions and defend them. I've flat out said many times that I am far from an expert, people seem to ignore that.
I'm just a guy that likes to talk about football, you're the one that gets all sandy down south when you don't agree with me. Am I arrogant about my opinion? Absolutely! Am I biased? What fan isn't? Will I argue till I'm blue in the face? Without a doubt! Do I make some predictions that end up terribly wrong? Every year! I'm not sure what you're getting at here, because you're not really "calling me out" on anything I won't openly admit.

Perhaps you should look in the mirror, you have laid down enough BS that has been so far from the truth it is not even funny. I could understand if you were legitimately trying to discuss the issue, but all you are doing is trying to insitigate, argue, and hurl insults.

2. Bengals (11-5) - I love Carson Palmer, best non-Manning QB in the league. The defense holds them back though.
3. Steelers (6-10) - Once again the biggest farce of a championship team will show us that Roethlisburger is amazingly overrated
4. Browns (3-13) - They have a promising offensive line, but Quinn isn't ready for the big time.
