San Fran will be at least 8-8. Not a fan, but it's obvious they are a decent team.

You have the Panthers winning the NFC South and then losing in a Wild Card game against Philly?

Also, just add up the W and L columns and make sure they are equal (for the entire league). It's not hard. It usually helps identify we're you've been too optomistic. The NFL = parity. A conference championship caliber team can very easily go 10-6, because there isnt much difference between winning a losing (aside from the Raiders, who should get relegated, like an English Premier league team).

I would say he did pretty damn good. A little off on the Saints and the Eagles, but i dont really think anyone thought the saints would do what they did and you have to expect a coyboys fan to hate on the eagles.

A little off? Here are some highlights of last years predictions:

4. Philadelphia Eagles - hahahahahaha...hold on...hahahahahaha
They finished 1st.

3. Tampa Bay Bucaneers - Simms is ok, gotta love Cadillac
Cadillac rushed for 798 yards, 1 TD, and 3 fumbles.

4. New Orleans Saints - deuce/bush is an awesome backfield, but thats all they have
Brees and Colston would disagree. They finished 1st.

1. Seattle Seahawks - reversing the madden curse.
Alexander (Madden Cover Boy) missed 6 games due to injury and rushed for 896 yards with a 3.6 average and 6 fumbles.

4. San Francisco 49ers - only good player is the 36 year old Larry Allen
And some guy named Frank Gore? Also had a much improved young QB and offensive line.

1. Miami Dolphins - Daunte will be back, mark it
Speaks for itself

2. New England Patriots - Vinatieri is the only reason they won Superbowls. He's gone.
Tom Brady would disagree with you

2. Jacksonville Jaguars - questions at RB, but solid all around
Their running backs (Taylor & Jones-Drew) were the best thing they had going for them

3. Tennessee Titans - Young is a bust of Ryan Leaf-like proportions.
You sure about that?

Based on what I'm seeing of this year's predictions, my prediction is another hilarious thread next year. This is about akin to me making NBA predictions when I haven't watched a basketball game in 10 years.

That's 9 out of 30 and even most of those he got the placements correct or off by only 1. So that's around 75%. Just because he has the balls to post don't be a dick when he isn't 100% right. Like I said earlier he did better than ESPN normally does.

edit:
Eagles - completely wrong
Bucs - 4th - off by 1 place
Saints - completely wrong
Seahawks - correct
49ers - 3rd - off by 1 place
Dolphins - completely wrong
Pats - 1st - off by 1 place
Jaguars - correct
Titans - correct

So even out of the 9 you chose, his placements were essentially 66%. The color commentary he added doesn't really matter if you are right that much of the time.

Lions? 9-7? BAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Saints only 10-6? I don't care for them but they're better than that

OMG you are out of your mind. It's obvious you have never actually seen a Bears game. We have upgraded our offense and we are set for another Super Bowl run but this time we are going to finish as Champions. Benson, Olsen, Wolfe, Berrian, Hester, and even nationally syndicated sports columnists are seeing improvements in Grossman's game. The man has played 1 complete 16 game season. This is the year he needs and WILL excel. Give me a break. We earned our Super Bowl spot last year believe you me.

Somebody has drank their share of the Bear Kool Aid.

Benson is an injury waiting to happen. They don't have their workhorse in the way of Jones to fill out the RB platoon. The running game is going to be very hard to come by this year.

I think moving Hester to offense is a horrible idea. Keep him fresh and safe to return kicks. Don't hang him out there any more than you need to. It sounds like a great idea...until he blows out a knee or wrecks his back trying to bring in poorly thrown ball.

The Bears were saved by huge plays made by the defense and special teams. You can't count on that pulling you through every season.

If so, then uh yea, um...

Heh... Just noticed the records for the OP's predictions add up to 268 total wins for all teams.

There are only 256 potential wins (and losses) in an NFL season. Just FYI.

I agree.

Benson is great. but I don't think he is the workhorse they need.

hester is either going to be a bust or great. not sure about the move.

big question though is Rex. what kind of year is he going to have?

The NFC's a crapshoot like always. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals made it to the playoffs this year... but yeah, someone's a little biased cowboys fan it seems. Quit hatin' on the Steelers.

Wow, I appreciate the half assed assesment of my team. It's not like Thomas Jones is already injured in preseason........oh wait, he is! Yeah that was the answer, an older back who dances in his gaps and gets run down by linebackers when he should be running downhill like Benson. Once Benson gets used to being the main back I have a feeling he is going to show up every week and deliver. If you even paid attention to Bears news you would know we plan on using Hester maybe 30 offensive snaps a game. He isn't going to be our #2 wideout or anything more of a special situation wide out. Thanks for playing.

Thanks I was looking for that, how did you find it? I searched from 3/06 to 4/07 for all of deeko's offtopic posts. Oh well. Anyhow, eat your heart out hatas.

Are you Deeko's brother or something? Or do you want to have his babies? You sure love to kiss his ass. And if you think I ran my mouth last year, that was nothing compared to prior years

It pains me to say this, but I agree with most of Deekos' predictions, except for one division...

NFC South
1. Panthers (11-5) - They'll bounce back from last year if they stay healthy, but Delhomme is starting to slip. I think they're on the decline. It's Smith then everyone else. The defense is still decent, but not to the point where they'll win 11 games. I see them as a 9-7 team.
2. Saints (10-6) - Very exciting offense, but they aren't the Colts...they need a defense, and they don't have it. The Saints should only get better this season. Colston should have an even better season, as well as Bush. They'll be the division winners.
3. Bucs (6-10) - Cadillac ruined my Fantasy world last year. The once-dominant defense is aging. I agree with them coming in 3rd in this division, although there is a chance of some upside with a revamped OL.
4. Falcons (5-11) - Not that Vick is the best QB in the league, he helped this team immensly, and that will show. Sounds about right.

seem to recall last year you saying vince was awful and wouldn't do anything. then he won a bunch of games and rookie of the year. now he's overrated and overhyped. brilliant.

yep.....and hester is more of a decoy than anything. When he's out there, the D has to pay attention to him flying down the field which opens up the rest of the O. Also, no team in their right mind is going to kick to Hester everytime, so he will not have as good of a year in that sense, but will give us good field position everytime.

Everyone rips on Rex, hoppin on the media's BadRexGoodRex bandwaggon i see? This was his first season. He played every game, and the bears got to the superbowl. Does there need to be any more to it than that? Yeah they have great D, but so do the Raiders and Dolphins, did they make it to the SB?

Deeko, you lost the ability to make NFL threads last year when you were embarrassed by the Eagles.

deeko last year:
NFC North
1. Chicago Bears - top of a terrible division. no offense.
2. Minnesota Vikings - Johnson also needs a hip
3. Detroit Lions - all those players on offense...someone do something!
4. Green Bay Packers - poor Favre. retire already, please.

deeko this year:
NFC North
1. Bears (12-4) - The most overrated Superbowl team of all time. The defense is still strong, but the offense will be worse.
2. Lions (9-7) - Improved, especially on offense. But that defense will let them down big time.
3. Vikings (8-8) - A solid defense, but no QB or WR, and only average at RB
4. Packers (6-10) - Sorry Favre, better retire soon. Make way for the future, this team isn't winning soon.

well ...........he doesn't like the packers, they almost made the playoffs last year thou, at least they didn't give up, even won there last game beating the bears
