basically you're saying that telling them to throw ONLY rice in the burrito should make a tasty burrito. it's retarded.

Why's that retarded? I eat at a hole in the wall that makes everything from scratch, DELICIOUS rice, a rice only burrito would be uber good. I've never had one, no reason to, but I know if I ordered it I'd eat every bite. Many times I get a potato burrito from there, with nothing but seasoned potatoes in it. It's one of my favorite things to eat. I've also gotten their steak burrito with nothing but steak and it's killer. Chipotle has no single thing that tastes good on it's own, you literally gotta combine everything they offer to get flavor. And by that point it tastes like a jumbled mess.

SoCal, yes. the Mexican food up here in NorCal, or at least--my side of the bay is embarrassing.

Come on over to the valley. We have EXCELLENT Mexican restaurants here. Some fancy, some dives...but GREAT food...full of flavor, spiced the way it should be done, real lard, none of that foofy "healthy grease."

No it's not wrong, order a rice only burrito from Chipotle, you'd die from taste boredom before you could finish it. If any one ingredient they have there taste good to you, it just tells me you haven't had that one ingredient prepared properly before.

I eat everywhere, and what you say is totally laughable, I can get a better burrito at:

Baja Fresh
Rubios
Miguel Jr's
Cotijas
El Polo Loco

All are better, and all are cheaper, Chipotle wins on no level. It doesn't have flavor, and that has nothing to do with anything except it doesn't have much taste. Bland seasoning on the meat would be a reason I don't like it over you claiming it's because one's use to eating preservative laden food. Baja Fresh taste much better and doesn't have any of the crap you mentioned. I can one better what you said and make the statement that anyone who think's Chipotle has flavor hasn't had good Mexican food. Any place I mentioned is better by a huge margin.

And don't kid yourself Chipotle's shit is absolutely brimming with Sodium, they're on par with the worst offenders. And to top it off they still manage to lack the good flavor found elsewhere. How the fuck can a burrito that has over 3,000mg of sodium still be so bland? And how the fuck does it have so much sodium when the burrito's half the size of the one I get from Baja Fresh, which has less sodium?

I don't eat fast food regularly except Chipotle a 1-2 times a month and Sarku Japan maybe once every few months.

I don't like Baja Fresh better and have had it a couple times because someone claimed it is better than chipotle. The only reason I think anyone would think it is better is they melt a crap ton of cheese over their burritos because they need it to be decent tasting.

No one is saying Chipotle is authentic mexican of course its not. But its comparable or better to its competitors Qdoba, Baja Fresh and way better than Taco Bell or Dell Taco (which is what this thread is about)

EDIT: also I have never gone to a Chipotle during regular lunch/dinner hours 11-2 or 5-8 and they were not cooking all the meats on griddle/grill. If you say you never see this either that chipotle is shit or you have never set foot inside one.

As opposed to Chipotle that drowns out the flavorless meat by stuffing a billion things in the burrito. And thanks for mentioning Qdoba, I can't believe I forgot to put them on my better than Chipotle list. I'm not sure about the bolded anywho, the Burrito I get from Baja doesn't even have Cheese in it *shrug*

Of course, the rice should taste good but they rice is as bland as the rest of their food. Whatever anyone asks to go in their burritos should taste good. I can't say it tasted bad cus it really had no taste to it. If someone went in to Chipotle and ordered a 100% rice burrito, the rice should taste good and have flavor but unfortunately it doesn't.

Chipotle's rice has plenty of flavor, but who the fuck would want to eat a 100% rice burrito. It seems like the big problem here is that people don't ask them to go easy on the rice.
