It's like every artist has one song that they absolutely nail, a song that owns them completely. Him and that song work so, so well.

I do quite like some of his music, but MM has always seemed very pantomime to me. My take is you have to come from a conservative, even religious, background to take that stuff seriously.

It's a symbiotic thing, I think. Like the relation between the GTA Rockstar games guys and the Daily Mail.

I like that Linkin Park one, even if the vocal style is hard to take seriously. It's just...overwrought. But they are the only nu-metal act I liked at all.

This is a futile thread though. It's all going to be 'I think this is really great and it's important to me' followed by 'nah, that's crap'.

I LOVE some good Finn music, are you familiar with the music of Finntroll? They do a really folksy blend of black metal.

Ensiferum I haven't heard in a long time, just familiar with their demos from when they sounded kinda like all the Gothenburg bands from Sweden.
