So prison style single color tats are in this year?

BTW folks, when you see a single color tattoo, it's a good sign the person has been in prison & got the tattoo in prison, because of the limited # of colors available to the prisoners.

I'm sure that's not your case johnnyfin, yours is more of a black & white effect art tat.

It should get you on a CIA watch list or 2, & your wife will be able to easily identify your corpse in the future...

Che Guevara
Guevara, Che, real name ERNESTO GUEVARA (1928-67), Latin American guerrilla leader and
revolutionary theorist, who became a hero to the New Left radicals of the 1960s. Born into a
middle-class family in Rosario, Argentina, Guevara received a medical degree from the University of
Buenos Aires in 1953. Convinced that revolution was the only remedy for Latin America's social
inequities, in 1954 he went to Mexico, where he joined exiled Cuban revolutionaries under Fidel
Castro. In the late 1950s, he played an important role in Castro's guerrilla war against Cuban
dictator Fulgencio Batista, and when Castro came to power, he served as Cuba's minister of
industry (1961-65). A strong opponent of U.S. influence in the Third World, he helped guide the
Castro regime on its leftward and pro-Communist path. The author of two books on guerrilla
warfare, Guevara advocated peasant-based revolutionary movements in the developing countries.
He disappeared from Cuba in 1965, reappearing the following year as an insurgent leader in Bolivia.
He was captured by the Bolivian army and shot near Vallegrande on October 9, 1967. Born in
Argentina and trained as a physician, Che Guevara became a military commander for Fidel Castro
during the 1956-1959 Cuban revolution. Guevara opposed United States intervention in Latin
American affairs and believed that only violent revolution could remedy the poverty of the masses.
Guevara wrote two books about guerrilla warfare and led guerrilla forces in South American
countries. He was captured and killed by Bolivian troops while leading a guerrilla band trying to
overthrow the Bolivian government.

Sweet. You have a 50's militant revolutionary on your shoulder that didn't do much besides be hated.

I'll never see the appeal in Che as a pop icon in modern society.

saying that che was a bad guy or dumping him in with hitler or something is wrong in my opinion, he had basic social beliefs and a passion for the disadvantaged which he fought and died for; this is a guy who time magazine recently put into the same category as the kennedys, mother teresa & other notable folks.

yes, sorry about the picture size

che...had basic social beliefs and a passion for the disadvantaged which he fought and died for

The "poor and disadvantaged" of Bolivia whom he was supposedly fighting for were the ones who reported his location in the mountains directly to the Bolivian military, resulting in his capture. The "poor and disadvantaged" of Bolivia had nothing in common with Che, and wanted nothing to do with his fight to overthrow their government and start a "world revolution".

The real reason Che was in Bolivia, was to overthrow the government and in its place build a new nation loyal to Cuba - a mission which even the Communist party in Bolivia refused to support. This new nation would have replaced the Soviet Union, as a partner to Cuba which she could rely on for trade, raw materials, military support etc. Had Che been successful in building a self-reliant socialist economy in Cuba, there would be no reason for him to be in Bolivia in the first place.

Che persists as a hippie rebal icon, supposedly because he was the ideological foundation on which Castro's regime was built. But in the end even Castro betrayed Che, making his return from Bolivia to Cuba impossible, and leaving Che to fend for himself at the hands of the Bolivian army.

Nope, guess they didn't think it was important when I was in HS. & it's not like I ever gave a crap about socialists & studied them on my own time.

Although one of my friends did have dinner with Castro last year...
