Is it possible to delete the first part of a filename...like the first 3 characters? I know I can delete them individually but its over a hundred or so that has to be done this way...there has to be an easier way.
I wish I had the experience to just whip one out for you, but I don't. If it were my problem, I'd spend a few hours doing the research to write the script, but won't do it for you. Sorry.
In vbscript, you'll want something like:
NewName = Right$(OldName, Len(OldName)-3)
and then wrap that into a loop that gets every file name in a folder.
Shouldn't be too hard to do. Search MSDN on the scripting.filesystemobject, I think.
