Dell 14z 802.11n upgrade

I just ordered a 14z laptop with the 802.11n WiFi option but unfortunately for some reason this pushes the ship date out another 8 business days. I would really like to get this thing by Christmas but with the 802.11n option the estimated ship date is 12/29. I would go with the 802.11g for now if I could later upgrade back to the 802.11n but I wasn't sure if this was feesable or not. I read somewhere that the antenna config was different for the 802.11n which sounds more painful than just changing the card out. Does anyone know what would be involved with doing this upgrade later? Thanks.

Well the hard part may be finding the 802.11n card for that model aftermarket. Its possible the added time for shipping is required so they can open up one of the laptops and install the new card. Yes the Antenna layout may be a factor for complicating the install since 802.11n requires dual antenna. Also i have seen laptops that had problems because the antenna or grounding wasn't reinstalled properly. It usually causes the system to crash often and not connect with threw WiFi. But that's generally on refurbished and repaired laptops. But i'm sure the install is easy enough. The hard part will be getting the part.
