Cool deal! I'm looking at the Model 2508 8Port Gigabit Switch. $249 is about the same price as the Cisco/Linksys mini-switch. This looks to be a better class of device. Anyone used one ?

Well this sucks...I was going to order it, but they deleted the free router from the config page. The links to it still stand. Dell is starting to anger me. If you are going to kill the deal that is fine, but at least take down the advertisements to it.

Trying to get one now, a client needs an 8port switch, but, 16ports wouldn't be bad for them. The 2016 should qualify according to the offer listed right in that column. If you click details it doesn't exclude it, just says that The FCC does not approve the 2024 or higher versions for Residential use. The offer is clearly shown as 'ok' on the 16port version. Just in case that was a mistake though, I tried adding any of the switches all the way up to the $999 managed switches and it still wouldn't add the free router when you customize any of them, so, I'm calling in to see if I can still get in on the deal. Will be nice if it works out still.

Got my combo tonoght when I got home, I must say the AP is pretty damn sweet! Especially for free! The switch is nice to, it is passive so no fans making noise like my other switch I had. If you can still get this deal JUMP on it! Well worth it, if you dont need the switch then sell it to someone for the $89 or maybe for less just to get the wireless AP.

I must be lucky. Just got off the phone with a CSR. Placed an order for the PC2016 switch and router. It took about a 20 min. about 10 min. waiting for the CSR to come on. He was aware of the problem and was very helpful in getting me the order including free shipping. He said it would ship in about 5 days.
