I bought this monitor last week... Actually its pretty great for $125.

Think about a dual monitor setup. The Multi-Media monitor has a stand that doubles as a speaker/microphone.

Good colors. (better than my $1000 21" hitachi)

This is a good model. Not a great monitor but for $125 shipped is a hot deal. I buying to set up a second computer for my wife to use so she doesn't touch mine. Somehow she manages to screw something up everytime... anyway, getting off the subject...

Look at the numbers, and don't be scared because it's refurbished. I have had a lot of good results with refurbished items, and this one has a one year warranty.

The warranty is probably through Dell - who by the way, is usually very good with warranty stuff. Buy.com may take a return during the first 30 days or so, but I doubt they do warranty work.

As for giving the wife a computer, my situation is the opposite. My wife wanted her own computer because she was sick of ME messing up our computer all the time... You know, the constant overclocking, OS reinstalls, beta drivers, etc...

I WILL want to use higher resolutions than 1024x768.... but that is what I keep my desktop at.

Note that this monitor supports 1024x768 at 85Hz! This is one of the
thing that differentiates this monitor from the cheapos. Cheap
17" monitors usually do 1024x768 at 60Hz. And it also supports
resolutions up to 1600x1200 (though only 60Hz at the highest
resolution).

If these are true refurbs (basically, returns that were fixed
and not off lease crap that is being resold), then this is
a very good deal...

Hey I got a 17 Nec refurb about 2 1/2-3 years ago for about 400.00 and I am still using it.
I had to send it back once but everything is still fine.
For 125.00 I wouldn't think twice.

 

Where do i find the 30 off 150 coupon?
Need a second monitor for a second computer.
Or even just use this as the main system, seeing how it seems to be fairly good quality for the price.
Too bad i cant find a 2040u for that price.
