I have this pinkish hue where they should be grey (like web browser and all that). It's the same whether I use my computer with a ti4200 or my x800xl. I have only tried the DVI cable, I don't know if it goes away with the vga (probably not). If I look at the monitor from a higher angle, then the grey is fine.
-edit-
I was messing with the settings and changed the color settings from normal preset (sRGB) to user defined one which I adjusted to 100% for red, blue, and green. I no longer have the pinkish color problem, and the monitor looks good from all angles. Was this the correct thing to do, or should the color preset ideally be left on normal preset?
The higher red on normal (sRGB) color preset led me to beleive that was the culprit. I noticed on the 1704FPV that the normal (sRGB) preset did not have the red that much higher then blue and green, but on my FPT the red was much higher.
Whatever the case is, I'm fully satisfied with my 1704FPT. Now that the pinkish tint is gone, the viewing angle thing is no longer an issue.
