Dell 19" P991 Trinitron - good monitor?

I can get one of these for ~$125 US and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this monitor before I go ahead and get it.

I have a pair for my dual head setup.

The best part: They do 1600x1200 @ 85Hz!

I just picked up the same monitor today. It does looks really nice...but for some reason the edges are blurry. Like in my bottom Windows bar, the colours look slightly distorted.
Is this a trait of the monitor, or did I get a lemon?

No lemon and it's not supposed to look like that. Sounds like you got a damaged monitor (probably thanks to FedEx, UPS, etc).

Well it's refurbished, so that's probably why.
Guess I'll take it back and exchange it for another one.

the link is pointing at a P990 now which is an older, and not as good monitor as the p991.

Looking at that exact model (P991) at the moment. Wonderful monitor - very crisp picture and excellent color quality (video card can impact both obviously). I am with the camp that never notices the two damper wires. I got mine brand new direct from dell for $350 about 9 months ago and there is no way I am going back to my old "fishbowl"
