Yea i have the same RevA01 V17.
Ghosts also, but fine for warcraft, but not the best for call of duty.
Fine for movies and everything else!

I am hoping a gustaria 1905FP and to know to me that screen is better. The A00 or the A01 and that panel of both is better and as corresponds to the AUO and as to the Samsung.

Thanks, I wait for answers

I got AUO.. just checked it this morning.. ordered on 12th april though..

Cool, thanks for the info. The AUO panel is MVA rather than the Samsung PVA, but I presume the image quality is similar. The response time should be quite different though, since the Samsung is rated at 20ms and the AUO at 8ms. Can you please give us your impressions, particularly regarding response time?

A simple test for response time is:
- In your display control panel, make sure "Show window contents while dragging" is enabled.
- Open up some web pages that have different colors
- Drag the windows around the screen, or just drag the vertical scroll bar up and down.
- Watch for blurring and color shifting or text and images

The Samsung PVA panel is pretty bad in this regard. Blurring is very obvious, and colors shift while in motion. The IPS panel in the 2005fpw, for example, is vastly better in this area, with no visible blurring or color shifting that I can see. I'm curious how the AUO panel performs.

Thanks

Can you also tell us the Rev of your monitor? I don't know if it's printed on the monitor, but it is on the box. Should be something like A00, A01, or perhaps they've gone to something like A02 for the AUO panel.

I just got mine in last Wednesday. It is a Rev A00, with the AUO panel. However, when I go to the factory setting, it will let me change panel type. Im guessing this is for power consumption settings and not too good for my LCD, which is why I changed it back quickly.

I have no dead pixels, but mine does ghost like crap.

I got Samsung V1.7, Rev A01, made in China. It arrived with the color balance way out of spec - all the presets looked more-or-less blue, including the "red" preset. I was able to input a "user" setting with good color but I RMA'ed it anyway because I wanted one that was properly calibrated.

My replacement just arrived an it's an AUO19 panel, V1.5, Rev A00, made in Mexico. The factory setting menu comes up with white lettering on a black background.

I'm running the two monitors side by side right now. The AUO panel looks sharper and brighter, the color looks more accurate and it seems to ghost less. The ghosting on the Samsung bothered me, even when just scrolling text. On the AUO I don't notice it as much. I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on the results with games.

Remember, the Samsung arrived out of calibration while the AUO looked good out of the box, so that may have had a bearing on the color and picture quality, even though I adjusted the two monitors to look as similar as possible to each other for this comparison.

We also have a couple of 1905FP monitors with Samsung V1.6 panels at my work. I don't notice the same kind of problems with color and ghosting on those monitors as I did on my Samsung V1.7 here at home, but the office has fluorescent lighting which might make those kinds of things less noticable, and of course I can't do a side-by-side comparison between the ones at my office and the ones here at home.

Anyway, I'm happy with the AUO, it looks good to me.

hi, i just ordered a 1905fp and should get it tomorrow. is there any difference between the auo and samsung panels? it looks like they are both 8bit which is one of the reasons i got this instead of some faster 6bit monitor. also, is the auo considered a 20ms monitor, since dell is still selling it as such? what is its real response time (g2g or otherwise)?

I received two 1905FP's yesterday. Fortunately and what must be a fluke, I received both an M190EN03 and a LTM190E4-L02. First box I opened was the AUO panel, and I must say I was disappointed. I have a Samsung 193P to compare with side by side so that really helps. The AUO has light bleeding from top and bottom, very noticeable on boot and when viewing a DVD. Text is not as sharp as the 193P or the 1905FP with the Samsung panel. I was happily suprised to find the second box with the LTM190E4-L02. The 1905 with the Samsung panel has absolutely zero light bleed and text is sharp. I am not an avid gamer, so ghosting has never been a problem. I did however complete Far Cry on my 193P, and it looked fantastic. I would return the AUO panel as it is unacceptable to me, but my neighbor wants it. He is an older gent, and will be using an analog connection.

I will most likely purchase the new Samsung 193P+ when available.

I just recieved a Rev A01 with the Samsung panel (LTM190E4-L02) V017. I put it side-by-side with a Rev A00 with Samsung panel V016. Both are made in China. Both were purchased in the US within the last month. I can not tell any difference at all between these two. Image quality (very good) and response time (not so good) seem identical. Both have a few tiny subpixels that aren't completely dark against against a black background, but they aren't "dead" since they display colors properly. They are not noticible in normal usage.

The only difference I can find between the two is that the Rev A00 has backlight visible when you look down into the top of the monitor (as Anandtech noted in their review). On the Rev A01 the backlight is not visible, and appears to be more enclosed. So there is some difference internally, but in terms of performance and features they are identical.

Dear Playmoobil,
I need your help !!!
Because I had an infamous HP F1703 blackout, I thought I might try something similar and pressed Menu, (+), (-) & Select buttons together and power it up. Presto the screen goes red then white. But now it doesn?t display anything any more. It?s in a coma and it won?t even display no signal sign (when I disconnect the signal cable).
Do you or anyone know how to wake this dumb terminal up ?
